Magic 2010 is out NOW and is kicking the Core Set up a notch! The R&D over at Wizards has cooked up a truly magical new Core Set called Magic 2010, or "M10." Only 50% of the cards are reprints, marking the first time that a core set has featured original cards since Alpha. That means for the first time ever we've gotten completely new cards in a Core Set. You now have the chance to play with fan favorites like Birds of Paradise and Serra Angel alongside all new cards like Silence, Elvish Archdruid, and Honor of the Pure. Mythics and Planeswalkers are making their core set debut along with a new set of dual lands as well. The rotation of the base set has also changed as we will see a new Core Set every summer! That means we will get Core Set Magic 2011 in the summer of 2010. Magic 2010 will be legal in Type 2 for one year and rotate out with the Shards of Alara block. Each subsequent Magic 20XX product will also be legal for one Type 2 "year" with all rotation happening in October with the major new block release.
