A Rebellion Rises

Empires: Galactic Rebellion is an worker placement and area control game in which players assume leadership of several factions of rebels bent on overthrowing the tyrannical reign of the Galactic Empire. Each player leads their own faction and will attempt to organize their forces to resist the Empire, gain support, and get ahead of the other rebel factions.

Place your workers and choose your strategy
Assign your workers to any of the 8 distinct Event Boxes in order to implement your strategy. Do you want to deploy your workers and develop your planetary influence? Do you want to train your rebels to become specialists and take on new abilities? Prepare your forces for the challenges ahead by doing covert missions or researching new technology. The choice is yours.

Increase Your Influence
Send your workers to build infrastructure and lay the groundwork of your rebellion on the various planets of the Empire.

Become a Trade Tycoon

Money makes the world go round. Fund your rebellion by trading goods and gaining control of important trade routes throughout the Empire.

Sworn to Secrecy
Carry out your rebellion's agenda by taking on covert operations which further your interests throughout the galaxy.

Research New Technology
Have your workers research technologies that will improve your odds of winning battles and carrying out your plans.

Divide and Conquer

Galactic Rebellion makes use of a combat system in which each combatant puts a number of colored wooden cubes into a bag, each faction being represented by a different color. Three cubes are then drawn from the bag, one at a time, and whichever player owns the majority of the cubes drawn is the winner.

Fight back against the Empire in order to reduce their influence and make your operations easier to complete. Grapple with the other factions for influence over the various planets in the Empire and to increase your own military might.

Train Your Workers
Your rebels can only do so much on their own. Train your workers to become specialists that give you bonuses when you set them to work. Gain an advantage in combat with Troopers and Heroes. Gain more influence in the Galactic Senate with a Diplomat. Have your scientists research more effective technology for your rebellion. Specialize however you see fit!

Sway the Senate
Manipulate the Galactic Senate to benefit your rebellion and turn their forces against the other rebel factions. Allegiances shift quickly, so be sure to pay attention lest you become the new target of the Galactic Empire.
