Battles of Legend: Glorious Gallery brings new Extended Art cards, more chibi monsters, and new cards for some fan favorite archetypes.

Each five-card pack contains four Ultra Rare cards and one Secret Rare card. That means that this set picks up right where Rarity Collection V left off and continues with more shiny cardboard.

This year's Battles of Legend set includes some of the hottest cards in the game.

This release includes a mix of new cards and old ones, some in desperate need of a reprint. It's a great place to try out one of the strategies that got a boost. There's plenty to enjoy for players and collectors.

Let's take a look at what we got.

New Cards for Shaddoll

Shaddolls are bringing the power of Duel Terminal back with five hot new cards added to the strategy. These new cards make it even easier to bring out an arsenal of powerful Fusion monsters while utilizing flip effects to keep your opponent at bay.

First, Lev Shaddoll Fusion sends a Fusion monster from the Extra Deck to the graveyard (GY) when it's activated, allowing you to send El Shaddoll Apkallone to start your combo. It also allows you to tribute a Fusion monster to special summon another Shaddoll Fusion monster from your Extra Deck with a different attribute.

It's a great way to send El Shaddoll Winda to the GY when you want to get around its floodgate effect on your turn.

Next, there's the main deck monster Tohushaddoll Grysta, which can copy other Shaddoll monster's flip effects and perform a Fusion Summon when it's sent to the GY by banishing materials.

It locks you into only summoning Shaddoll monsters from the Extra deck for the turn, so you'll need to run a pure build to maximize its strength.

The two new Fusion monsters lean into the deck's control strategy. El Shaddoll Meshachrer is unaffected by your opponent's activated Spell/Trap effects and most monsters. It's great to summon off Shaddoll Fusion on turn two to start plays while breaking boards.

Reeshaddoll Wendikuruhu has a Book of Moon type effect that can also flip your face-down monsters face-up. It's perfect for triggering Shaddoll flip effects to keep up the pressure on your opponent.

Void Unleashing is a powerful Spell card that can bridge Shaddolls and Infernoids. Overall, thanks to the new cards the strategy can now cycle through many of its powerful Fusions in a turn to keep tempo and control the board.

New Tools for Dragunity

Dragunity is a deck all about Synchro Summoning powerful dragons and uniting their power to overcome all odds. The new additions to the strategy speed up the core mechanic of using monster as equip Spells. Cycling through cards to get to your boss monsters is faster than ever.

The biggest payoff of these cards is the hot new Link-4 monster Dragunity Lord - Georgius. It has a powerful floodgate effect that prevents your opponent from activating monster effects in the graveyard. It's also a Spell/Trap Card negated by sending an Equip card you control to the GY.

To help you on your way to summoning Georgius, you've got new main deck monsters as well. Dragunity Quirinus helps you churn out bodies by either Special Summoning a monster from the hand or Equipping a Dragunity you control with a Dragunity from the deck or GY as an Equip Spell.

The new Field Spell Dragunity Divine Wind works well in combination with the old favorite Dragon Ravine. It lets you Special Summon a Dragunity from hand then equip a Dragunity from deck to it. The bonus effect if Dragon Ravine is in the GY a nice reason to run both in the new deck build.

With the above cards all currently in rotation, you're able to turbo out nearly any Dragunity monster you want. Synchro climb your way to victory or pivot into your Link monsters for added bonuses.

New Additions for Constellar/Tellarknight

As the name implies, Constellar/Tellarknights are an XYZ archetype based on the constellations and capable of putting out some scary end boards.

The new cards enable the strategy by providing new avenues to summon out level four monsters along with extenders and end pieces in the new boss monsters.

Let's see how it comes together.

The new Tellarknight Cygnian and Constellar Castor are great new additions to the main deck monster line-up. Cygnian lets you add monsters from deck to hand while Castor Special Summons from deck. Castor is also good to keep around on field since it can negate Spells.

Stellarnova Binding is a fantastic new Quick-Play Spell card that offers utility going first or second.

Going first, it acts as an extender letting you Special Summon a monster from the deck; Second, it can be used to break boards by negating face-up monster your opponent controls.

On the upper end, Tellarknight Constellar Delteros gives protection from targeting to all the deck's Rank 5 or higher monsters and gives you an additional Normal Summon to keep the combos rolling.

Exstellarknight Constellar Ptolemy Omega7 is the ultimate boss monster of the strategy.

Capable of reaching 5400 ATK and being unaffected by your opponent's activated effects so long as you have seven or more "Tellarknight" monsters in your GY and/or banishment is nothing to scoff at.

Just plop it on top of your Tellarknight or Constellar XYZ monsters and you've got yourself a hot new tower.

New Support for Protagonist Themes

Junk Meister is one of the hottest cards of Glorious Gallery. It's a new one-card starter for Yusei Fudo's Stardust Dragon strategy.

By revealing Stardust Dragon in your Extra Deck, you can Special Summon it from your hand and add a Junk monster from your Deck to your hand.

Comboing it with the other new support card, Junk Armor, which can summon itself when added from Deck to the hand lets you Synchro summon into a Junk Speeder without even committing to your Normal Summon for the turn. Who knew Synchrons would get a Snake-Eyes Poplar?

Masked Hero Fountain is another hot card released in Glorious Gallery.

Masked Heros come from the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga and have been spicing up run-of-the-mill Hero deck lists. What's great about Fountain is that it's a free Special Summon from the hand by revealing another Hero monster in the hand.

Even better, when it's sent to the GY you can add a Mask Change from your deck or GY to your hand. Mask Change is an important piece to the Hero end board because it allows you to summon out Masked HERO Dark Law.

You can also use Fountain to more easily step into the other end board option, Contrast HERO Chaos, which needs two Masked Hero monsters.

Overframes, Chibis, and Reprints

Collectors once again have a new batch of chibi cards and Extended Art cards to get their hands on.

Extended Art cards have been picking up steam and have become a mainstay chase of modern sets. Notable extended art cards from Glorious Gallery include Dragon Master Magia, Dominus Impulse, and Chaos Angel. They come in either Ultra Rare or Starlight Rare.

Chibi cards were introduced in large part back in Battles of Legend: Monster Mayhem and have been sprinkled in different sets ever since. All ten chibi variant art cards are found as Secret Rares.

Big hits from the chibis include Dark Magician Girl and Exodia, the Forbidden One. While they're fun to collect, there's nothing stopping duelists from using them in your Deck. Here's hoping we get the other four pieces of Exodia as chibi art to complete the set.

Glorious Gallery also comes with a ton of great reprints. The remaining Fiendsmith cards that weren't already reprinted can be found here. It's one of the hottest engines in the game, flexible is several decks.

Strong starter cards like Seventh Tachyon, Exosister Martha, and Ground Xeno also make their return here. These reprints make it easy to start deck building if you're interested in one of the strategies they support.

We even got a reprint of the dreaded Fairy Tail - Snow, freshly released off the ban list. The Fairy Tail archetype saw some new support in Blazing Dominion, so this one makes a lot of sense.
