Welcome back to the Weekly Sale Column. The latest sale is here, and with it comes another opportunity to upgrade an old favorite or talk yourself into building yet another deck. Remember, the weekly sale ends Sunday night at 11:59 PM EST.
For this week's Angels + Demons sale, we're choosing the Angel side of the equation with Sephara, Sky's Blade and an army of tiny Flyers that can get her onto the battlefield much sooner than her seven-mana cost would suggest.
What is Sky's the Limit?
Sky's the Limit is a Mono-White Flying Aggro deck built around flooding the battlefield with cheap Flyers, tapping them to cast Sephara, Sky's Blade for just
, and turning a squadron of tiny Creatures into an Indestructible Flying army.
The deck can regularly land Sephara on Turn 4, but getting an early 7/7 Flying Lifelink Angel into play is only the beginning. Lifegain engines, Angels, and several teamwide buffs help the deck keep growing until even its smallest Flyers can end the game.

The Early Bird Gets the Angel
Ideally, your opening hand has two or three Lands alongside at least four cheap Flyers, giving you a realistic shot at establishing four Creatures on the battlefield and casting Sephara, Sky's Blade on Turn 4.
Besides essentially acting as mana dorks for Sephara, Creatures like Healer's Hawk, with Flying and Lifelink, are especially useful for padding your life total early, while Creatures like Segovian Angel, with Flying and Vigilance, can chip in for damage and still stay untapped for Sephara's alternate casting cost later.
Angels in the Outfield
Once Sephara is protecting the skies, the deck can start shifting from its tiny featherweights into its much more threatening Angels.
For ![]()
, Righteous Valkyrie is a 2/4 Angel Cleric that gains life whenever another Angel or Cleric enters under your control. Then, if you can keep that Lifegain rolling until you reach at least 47 life in Commander, all of your Creatures get +2/+2.
That same Lifegain also feeds Resplendent Angel, a ![]()
![]()
3/3 Angel that creates a 4/4 Angel token at each end step where you've gained at least five life.
Valkyrie Harbinger keeps those Angel tokens coming as one of the deck's top-end threats at ![]()
![]()
, giving you a 4/5 Angel Cleric with Flying and Lifelink that can make another 4/4 Angel at each end step where you've gained at least four life.
Better yet, since it has Lifelink itself, even blocking on an opponent's turn can gain just enough life to make another Angel before their turn ends.
No Rest for the Righteous
Of course, Sephara's Indestructible protection can only do so much. A Farewell, Sunfall, Cyclonic Rift, or anything else that Exiles or Bounces the board can still send your entire flock off on an early migration.
Fortunately, Serra Paragon is a ![]()
![]()
3/4 Angel with Flying that lets you play a Land or cast a permanent with mana value three or less from your Graveyard once during each of your turns. With so many cheap Flyers in the deck, there should almost always be something worth bringing back.
Meanwhile, Angel of Indemnity goes a little bigger with its Recursion ability. The 5/5 Angel Warrior for ![]()
has Flying and Lifelink, and when it enters, you can return any permanent with mana value four or less from your Graveyard directly to the battlefield.
Don't forget about its Encore ![]()
![]()
, either. In a typical four-player Commander game, Encoring it back gives you three more Enter-the-Battlefield (ETB) Triggers, bringing back up to three permanents at once.
Then, there's Emeria Shepherd, the big ![]()
![]()
4/4 Angel herself, whose Landfall Trigger typically returns a nonland permanent from your Graveyard to your hand. But if that Land is a Plains, the permanent goes straight back onto the battlefield instead. And with 32 Plains in the deck, that shouldn't be too hard to pull off.
Final Thoughts
Sky's the Limit wants to flood the board with cheap Flyers, get Sephara, Sky's Blade into play early, and let its Lifegain engines and heavy-hitting Angels turn that fast start into an overwhelming winged battalion. Consider this your sign: check out the Angels + Demons sale before it ends Sunday night at 11:59 PM EST.
