The Remnants of Humanity have been enslaved!
In The Daedalus Project, Humanity has been decimated and the survivors have been imprisoned for use in genetic experiments by an advanced alien species known as the Loctae. The chance has finally come for some of the prisoners to escape, and they will do everything they can to escape the labyrinthine halls of the Hive in which they're imprisoned. Players take on the role of these escapees as they attempt to flee their captors in a cooperative escape game that will put their planning to the test.
Plan Your Moves Carefully
Thanks to the Theseus Device, players will know how the concentric rings of the Hive prison will shift and rotate at the end of the round. Use this knowledge to plan the routes your characters will take and what actions they will perform during the Escape Phase. As players enter the lower rings, the Theseus Device will be able to more accurately predict the movements of the Hive.
Plan carefully, though. The movements of the Hive will change every round, potentially throwing your plans into disarray if you weren't prepared. You may suddenly find yourself face to face with one of the Minotaurs that patrol the halls.
Explore the Prison and Find the Exit Gates!
Find a way through the Prison
Players will use actions to discover rooms as they move through the halls of the Hive. Each room will offer players new options, but they could also reveal guards laying in wait for them.
Fight to Avoid Capture
Some rooms will spawn Minotaurs or Loctae Scientists when they're discovered. If you end the round in the same room as one of these monsters, you will be captured and brought back to your cell. Use Minotaur or Loctae Scientist cards to fight back against your captors and continue toward the exit.
Find the Gates and Escape
In order to escape, players will need to find Gates that lead to lower levels of the Hive. Once found, they'll need to crack the code in order to gain access to lower rings and, ultimately, the exit. But be careful. As players enter lower rings, the movements of the Hive become more and more complex.
