Today in a sparse announcement, a Magic Role Playing Game was announced. The digital game, coming from Cryptic Studios (of Star Trek Online and Neverwinter) in partnership with Perfect World Entertainment Inc. will be coming to PCs and consoles at an undetermined date.

The statement includes a quote from Perfect World CEO Bryan Huang which indicates that players will take on the role of Planeswalkers in Magic's diverse multiverse. We will post more details as they become available.
