Ali Plays Standard Simic Ramp

Reddit

Hello everyone! Today I don't have a brew or spicy deck to showcase so I decided to play Andrea Mengucci's 75 from Mythic Championship 7. For some reason I thought he didn't run Shifting Ceratops in the sideboard, but he most definitely did. So, pardon that in the video intro. While we are on the subject of brews / spicy decks I feel like the metagame is already established, so if you have an interesting deck feel free to post it in the comments and I'll consider it for a video. Theros can't come soon enough!

Let's go ahead and look at the decklist!

Time Stamps:

Match 1 - 00:01:41

Match 2 - 00:20:22

Match 3 - 00:32:54

The deck is straight forward, just ramp and ramp then cast your haymakers in Nissa, Who Shakes the World, Hydroid Krasis, Agent of Treachery, End-Raze Forerunners, or Finale of Devastation. Being a ramp deck, mulliganing is going to be the most important thing alongside sideboarding. Try to keep hands that have some form of ramp in them. Hands without Leafkin Druid, Growth Spiral, or Arboreal Grazer should probably be shipped back. I think there are exceptions, though. For example, I kept a hand with five lands double Risen Reef on the play and I think that's acceptable when you don't know what you're up against. If you enjoy ramp decks, I do recommend this deck. It's the best ramp deck in Standard now.

As always thanks for reading and I hope you have wonderful weekend!
