Spectral Procession; the engine behind some of standards most powerful decks. The ability to get 3 creatures for WWW on turn 3 is utterly ridiculous, and when those creatures happen to fly—well let’s just say things have a habit of getting out of hand extremely quickly.

Of all the Spectral Procession decks out there, I believe B/W Tokens is the most powerful. It has this advantage for several reasons. Firstly between Spectral Procession and Bitterblossom this deck has a truly obnoxious source of card advantage. It has disruption with Tidehollow Sculler (and Thoughtseize in some builds). It has extremely quick beats in the aforementioned Tidehollow Sculler as well as Knight of the Meadowgrain, and to some extent Mutavault. It has the spot removal to get rid of those pesky blockers or tempo disrupting creatures with Path to Exile and Terror. It also has the very efficient pump abilities of Glorious Anthem and Ajani Goldmane. Finally, the cream of the deck, the token generators. This curve is along the lines of Bitterblossom, Spectral Procession, Marsh Flitter, and rounding out the end, Cloudgoat Ranger.

All this equates to the most appealing part of B/W tokens, which is the card advantage. Virtually every single card in the deck gives you card advantage from the spells all the way to the lands. This card advantage is accomplished through several means. First, Bitterblossom, this card provides you with tokens in each of your turns with no additional mana investment required. Then we have the cards like Marsh Flitter, Spectral Procession and Cloudgoat Ranger the weakest of these giving you a minimum of 3 tokens all three which provide tokens with flying. The last source of significant card advantage in the deck is Windbrisk Heights, a card whose activation cost is nothing for a deck with as many creatures as this one and then provides you with a free spell, which can be anything from the continuous pump abilities of Glorious Anthem and Ajani Goldmane to the token producing powers of a Bitterblossom or Cloudgoat Ranger.
