Modern Horizons 3 Releases

While the set launched last week in local game stores across the world with prerelease weekend, today marks the official full release of Modern Horizons 3. This week marked the release of the set on digital clients as well, with players racing to acquire their cards to try the latest hotness in formats like Modern, Timeless, and Legacy. Celebrate Pride Month With Special Commander Events

Previously back at the start of May, savvy internet sleuths noted a special Pride Commander event happening at the end of June as revealed on the WPN page for stores. Now as of this week, Wizards has officially revealed it and announced the details! Most of the relevant aspects are still the same in that you're able to utilize any two commanders as though they have partner, whether or not they say so on the card! The new bit of information to come out is that participants will receive a special Pride Chandra art print for attending, as seen above. Check with your store for all the details on how they'll be running their event!

Tolarian Community College Hits 1,000,000 Subscribers

The biggest Magic YouTube channel on the block - Tolarian Community College - has finally hit arguably its biggest milestone yet. After more than 10 years at it, the popular channel has finally crossed the one million subscriber mark. This makes The Professor and his crew the first MTG focused channel to cross the one million sub line! A huge congratulations on this momentous occasion!

Additionally, Tolarian Community College hasn't just been riding high on this big milestone either! The Professor recently launched a Kickstarter for season 3 of the popular series Shuffle Up and Play. Within just a few short hours, the Kickstarter reached full funding and is continuing on from there! It's always big news when Alpha art shows up in the MTG art collecting scene! This week one of the original pieces of art for the basic land Plains hit the auction block on the MTG Art Market, quickly going over $50,000 with bids hitting $75,000 as of last night. It's going to be exciting to watch this over the next couple of days as bidding wraps up!

With all of the hype surrounding Modern Horizons 3, everyone and their mother is rapidly trying out all the hot new things you can do with the set. Almost immediately, players figured out that Nadu, Winged Wisdom was utterly busted when paired with the likes of Shuko. This card has already been producing crazy combo decks left and right, put up multiple results - including a MTGO Challenge win! - and many players are calling it the new Hogaak! If players don't figure out a way to combat it soon, we may be quickly looking towards a swift ban for the fancy bird, so enjoy it while it lasts!
