Jared Sylva, the go to person for StarCityGames Organized Events, announced a number of changes today on the StarCityGames.com website. Among these changes:

1. Free FNM with Registration
2. An increase to the number and types of side events run at Open events
3. An increase in prize payout and payment in cash on location for people placing 9th to 32nd, and announcing a $50 prize for finishers 17th-32nd
4. The format for the end of the year invitational, two days with day 1 being 8 rounds of Standard. Everyone 6-2-0 or better, or the top 64 (whichever is greater) will advance to day two. Day two will be five rounds before cutting to the Top 8.
5. The Player of the Year for the Open series may not be banned by the DCI, if they are they become ineligible.
