Description: Scythe: The Wind Gambit contains two modular expansions: airships and resolutions. The airship module was originally created and shared in the Scythe Facebook group by Kai Starck. Jamey read over the rules and was impressed both by what the airships added to the game and by the effort Kai had put into the expansion through writing the rules and playtesting it. So Kai, Jakub, and Jamey collaborated to hone the airship module.
In the airship module, 2 airship tiles are randomly paired at the beginning of the game (one passive and one aggressive). Each player's airship miniature (a new type of unit; 1 big miniature for each of the 7 factions) has those abilities, as well as the core ability that airships are free to move onto any territory (land or water) and across rivers. Each player starts with their airship on their home base, so they can start moving out of their home area right away.
In the resolution module, resolution tiles add a twist to the way each game ends. There are 8 of them, and 1 will be used each game. They often have an impact in the decisions you'll make throughout the game.

The Wind Gambit
Mankind has long been confined to travel by land and sea, but a new technology has emerged from the greatest minds in Eastern Europa: airships. These steam-driven behemoths sail freely across the sky, aiding their empire's expansion through innovation and confrontation.
As the years pass, the world has come to understand that no single faction will rise above the rest for any span of time. In the hopes of decreasing the conflict and increasing the peace, leaders of Europa begin to gather each year to declare a new way for the factions to resolve their differences.
Scythe: The Wind Gambit adds two new modules to the base game that can be played together or separately at any player count. Soar across Europa in massive airships that increase your mobility or change the end goal of the game with new resolutions. Add new options to Scythe with !
Airships and Resolutions
The Airship Module introduces Airship units to the game, large flying ships which allow you to transport resources or workers across Europa with ease. At the beginning of the game, one Passive Airship Ability Tile and one Aggressive Airship Ability Tile are drawn, and each Airship has those abilities. Airships float high above the ground, so they cannot occupy any territory, but they can move through occupied territories with ease.
The unique Airship abilities provide a different axis upon which to enact your strategy. The passive abilities generally improve an action or provide you with another option, such as increasing the number of resources you gain from the airship's territory or allowing you to deploy mechs and build buildings as if it were a worker. Meanwhile, the aggressive abilities dictate whether your Airship can carry workers or resources and sets the rules of interaction between airships, other types of units, and the board.
The second module Scythe: The Wind Gambit adds is the Resolution Module. This module changes the way the game ends, providing a new end game trigger for players to work toward. Retool your strategy to take advantage of your new goals to come out ahead of your opponents!
