Ali Plays Standard 2022 Jeskai Dragons

Reddit

Welcome back everyone! Today is the last day we will be playing Standard 2022, probably until Innistrad: Midnight Hunt is released. This is because Historic on MTG Arena just got a massive set in Jumpstart: Historic Horizons, so I will be exploring new decks in Historic and sharing those. Today we have one last deck to go over before jumping to Historic.

Let us go ahead and look at the decklist!

Time Stamps:

04:10 - Match 1

10:09 - Match 2

13:48 - Match 3

20:59 - Match 4

27:49 - Match 5

37:58 - Match 6

54:07 - Match 7

This one is by Erik Coomber who got second place at the TGS Open with their take of Jeskai Dragons. Some of the top end and counterspells are cut for more threats in more dragons. The White is mainly for Adult Gold Dragon but you can also use it to animate the Cave of the Frost Dragon. I personally was not a huge fan of Cave of the Frost Dragon as it really messes up Expressive Iterations on turn three and then after turn three, it always comes into play tapped. We did play against Izzet dragons at the end and the extra threats did seem to matter. They can't counter everything right?

I've been playing Standard 2022 for a while now, and the best cards in the format are Goldspan Dragon, Alrund's Epiphany, Esika's Chariot, Ranger Class, Paladin Class, Werewolf Pack Leader, Blood on the Snow, and Faceless Haven and the rest of the creature lands. Orzhov Angels has also been a good deck. I expect these decks to be the first ones played after rotation unless Innistrad has some powerful cards!

That's it for today, thanks for reading/watching!
