Back in February we announced the news that Wizards had renewed their deal with Stainless Games, the company behind the Xbox Duels of the Planeswalkers game. Today Wizards announced the coming second expansion to the wildly popular XBLA game. The announcement does not include any dates or timeline, only the following hints to what it will contain:

This second expansion pack for Magic: The Gathering – Duels of the Planeswalkers features new cards and new decks to add to your arsenal. Now you can wield the power of Nicol Bolas's "Eons of Evil" deck, unlock three new cards for all existing decks, or defeat the new single-player campaign to unlock Rhys the Redeemed's "Heart of Worlds" and Chandra Nalaar's "Heat of Battle" decks. This expansion pack also contains five new puzzling challenges, three new achievements and personas, host migration for multiplayer, and avatar attire awards all to test your Magic skills. It is our understanding that Matt Place will again be overseeing this expansion (he has overseen the original game its first expansion.) We are waiting for Wizards to confirm this belief.
