López wins Grand Prix Santiago

Reddit

Rodrigo López had a tough road to the finals of Grand Prix Santiago. He had defeated Tomoharu Saito at the end of Day One but was had to face the same boss if he wanted to take home the trophy. In two games, López's Red-Green deck was able to outpace Saito's controlling Blue-Black build and the hometown hero was able to take home the title.

The story of Magic Origins limited continues to be its speed. Two drops are key to victory. López combined cards like Subterranean Scout and Mage-Ring Bully with powerful combat altering cards - Somberwald Alpha - to outpace Saito's Soulblade Djinn.

Congratulations to Rodrigo López - your Grand Prix Santiago champion!
