Green is often seen as one of the best colors when it comes to Magic's most popular format, Commander. Green in Cube shines through in a similar way. Mono-Green ramp is a very powerful archetype in most Cubes that powers out huge threats before your opponent. Land strategies are also a popular inclusion in most Cubes and almost all of them stem from the color Green. 2025 brought us one of the most powerful Green creatures we have seen in a long while. It was so powerful, it once again made it into the powered Cube, the most famous Cube in Magic's history. And we'll get to that card, but let's begin with an honorable mention.
Honorable Mention - Meltstrider Eulogist
Meltstrider Eulogist is a three-mana 3/3 creature that draws cards. It does require a creature you control with a +1/+1 Counter on it to die for you to draw a card, but Green often plays into a +1/+1 Counter centric theme in most Cubes. Making sure you have cards to play in each range of mana value is important when drafting. Three-mana creatures are incredibly important to have and this one draws cards if you are using it to its full potential. As far as honorable mentions go, this creature definitely stands above the rest in my other articles in this series.
5. Web of Life and Destiny
Spider-Man continues to bring us some solid cards for Limited, even though the set overall was mostly a dud. Web of Life and Destiny is a powerful enchantment that you can turbo out thanks to Green flooding the board with early game creatures. Cards that make an impact the moment they hit the battlefield are always better than ones that make you wait a turn or two. Web of Life and Destiny will trigger during your combat phase the turn it comes into play. Green decks in Cube are usually full of lots of top end creatures like Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant, making this enchantment an easy pick in draft for players leaning into big Green decks.
4. Avatar Kyoshi, Earthbender
Avatar Kyoshi, Earthbender is a mythic bomb for Cube. If you are drafting a big Green deck or playing in a Jund Reanimator shell this card does a lot of work. Earthbend 8 seems like an off the wall number when you remember that earthbent lands have haste. Kyoshi also untaps the land making sure you can attack with it immediately. This Avatar also has built in protection during your turn making sure you can get her combat trigger to earthbend seamlessly. I love combining Kyoshi with the cycle of lands from Wilds of Eldraine that all have attack triggers. If Avatar Kyoshi stays on the board for multiple turns, your opponent will be buried under 6 feet of earth quickly.
3. Terrasymbiosis
Terrasymbiosis is making a few waves at Commander tables, but not in many other formats. Cube seems like the perfect home for this enchantment. You take the reins on how the play environment shapes up, and you can make sure that this card will trigger by including lots of ways to put +1/+1 Counters on creatures. Card draw is one of the most powerful things in a Limited environment. If you have more spells to play than your opponent, you should win most of the time. I can't believe this card is only three mana and on an enchantment. Green gets all of the powerful cards on some of the most problematic card types for removal.
2. Warden of the Grove
Warden of the Grove is classified as a "self-contained engine." This phrase is used to describe cards that don't require the help of any other cards in play to gain advantage. Warden of the Grove puts a +1/+1 Counter on itself at the beginning of your end step, meaning over the course of the game this will grow into a pretty large threat. It also allows your other creatures to Endure X when they enter the battlefield where X is Warden's total number of +1/+1 Counters. Endure allows you to have the creature enter with counters or create a X/X creature token. This amount of value on a three-mana creature is just insane. I personally have included this in my own Cube and I am not disappointed with the results.
1. Ouroboroid
Edge of Eternities brought us a lot of powerhouses for multiple formats. Ouroboroid is another "self contained engine," however, it can close out games a lot more quickly than Warden of the Grove. Ouroboroid puts +1/+1 Counters on each creature you control where X is its power. This ability also triggers at the beginning of your combat phase, meaning it happens the turn it enters play. The first turn you take when this is in play, all your creatures get one +1/+1 Counter. Then the next turn they get two +1/+1 Counters, and so on, and so on.
Ouroboroid is currently seeing a lot of play in Standard and Commander. Mana dorks like Llanowar Elves can be played on turn one to help play Ouroboroid on turn three. Ouroboroid then starts to turn your early game mana elf into a threat incredibly quickly. Ouroboroid is quite possibly the strongest Green card we have seen in some time and that is why it takes the top spot on this list.
I hope you enjoyed our look at the best Green cards for Cube in 2025. Now there's just Colorless and Multicolored left to finish off this series. I hope you enjoy!
See you on the battlefield!
