New Secret Lairs Go On Sale

This past Monday saw the start of preorder sales for the latest Secret Lair Superdrop, titled Our Boss Is On Vacation. This Secret Lair Superdrop featured the highly anticipated SpongeBob SquarePants lairs, as well as a host of interesting options ranging from a lair inspired by classic cartoons to one themed after bad high school photos. The Superdrop release caused several fresh concerns over the release method with many struggling to get in and purchase their items, with the site even being taken down at one point. Additionally, the Pick 'Em and Stick 'Em lair drew controversy due to tracing and plagiarism accusations aimed at the lair's artist, Rian Gonzalez, last year.

Mere days later, another Secret Lair was released as part of the Chaos Vault branding. This small drop featured an unusual offering of four tokens with art by Japanese artist MAOMOMIJI stylized after Japanese food. The lair went on sale for $14.99 in nonfoil and $19.99 in foil - a notably low amount for any Secret Lair to date.

Several of these Secret Lair offerings have already sold out, however some remain on sale now. You can check out the official Secret Lair storefront to place your orders on any items you want so long as the lairs are still in stock.

Beloved content creator Jim Davis revealed this week that he recently had a medical procedure done that unfortunately had complications. As a result, this has left him in tremendous pain and he is taking an unexpected break from content production while he recovers. While no firm plans were announced, Jim did note he was talking with various content creators to try creating guest content while he puts his focus on his health.

If you'd like to wish Jim a speedy recovery, you can do so on his various social media pages. Get better soon, Jim!

Decklist of the Week

This Monday is the next scheduled banned and restricted announcement, and while the majority of focus is on Modern, some players have their eyes set on other formats as well. Some are talking about Standard, others Legacy, but one that feels like it's flying a little under the radar is Pioneer. With little paper support, it's a format that feels somewhat ignored, but many diehards are hoping for a bit of action to bring the powerful Rakdos Midrange builds down a peg or two. Will this finally be the time Fable of the Mirror-Breaker // Reflection of Kiki-Jiki gets banned? We'll all find out together this Monday!
