Final Fantasy Kits Mistakenly Reach Brazil
Several Magic: The Gathering - Final Fantasy prerelease kits were accidentally sent to various Brazilian retailers last weekend instead of the expected Tarkir: Dragonstorm ones. Reported by Cards Realm - a Brazilian-based site for various card game articles - several stores were noted as receiving statements to return the Final Fantasy product. It's unclear how far reaching these issues were, though over the course of the weekend, several Spanish-language leaks from the set found their way onto the internet in various spaces. If you're looking to remain surprised, tread carefully in the coming weeks in Magic: The Gathering discussion areas on the internet.
Official previews for Magic: the Gathering - Final Fantasy kick off at PAX East on Saturday, May 10th.

This Wednesday, several popular content creators simultaneously revealed individual copies of cards sent to them by Wizards of the Coast. The contents? One slabbed card from an upcoming Secret Lair preconstructed Commander deck! Six cards were revealed in total: Bitterblossom (shown above). Taurean Mauler, Avenger of Zendikar, Sol Ring, Raise the Palisade, and Morophon, the Boundless. Each of these features fancy borderless art that's become the standard for many Secret Lairs in recent years.
The deck's name will be "Everyone's Invited" and hints presented in the advertising for the most recent Secret Lair Superdrop seem to indicate it will go on sale this Monday, April 14. As of the time of writing, further details have yet to be released, however it's likely that something will be posted on DailyMTG.com today or Monday prior to the full deck going live for sale. Keep your eyes peeled for further details!
Tariffs Impact Tabletop Games Industry
If you've paid any attention to the news or world markets, you're likely aware that tariffs have been the talk of the town lately. While these kinds of topics are ones that tend to be avoided in these news round-up articles, this story is likely to have a major impact on tabletop gaming as a whole in the near future. Stores everywhere around the United States - and the world - are bracing for impact waiting to see what the impact may be. Several tabletop gaming companies like Stonemaier Games, Steve Jackson Games, and Hero Forge Minis thus far have made statements about how their product lines will be affected by these tariffs.
It's unclear at this time how trading card games like Magic: The Gathering as well as various supply lines like UltraPro, Dragon Shield, and Ultimate Guard will be impacted by these new policies. Please be mindful of these upcoming changes while visiting and buying from your local game store in the coming weeks and be sure to support them where possible in these trying times.

Tarkir: Dragonstorm is finally here, and with it comes our first look at some of new decks that are emerging from the first few event results after the set hit Magic Online. Cori-Steel Cutter has driven a lot of attention for the potential to create an army of tokens in short order thanks to its flurry ability, giving flashbacks to the power of Monastery Mentor in a smaller package. This Izzet Prowess deck takes advantage of casting multiple spells and the generated monk tokens' prowess ability with several other creatures with prowess or a prowess-like ability to cause heavy damage. Will this deck stick around or will it be a flash in the pan? Take it for a spin and give it a try yourself at your next Standard event!
