With Rise of the Eldrazi in card form, players are already eager to get access to the pool of cards for Magic Online. Wizards has released the event schedule and tournament types for the MTGO Pre-release and Release events.

Pre-release

As published here, Sealed Swiss Pools will begin on Friday May 7th 12:00PM (noon) EST and will run through May 8th, 11:00PM EST. They will cost 30 tickets to enter, for which you'll receive six Rise of the Eldrazi packs. Each flight will be limited to sixteen players and run as often as required to meet demand. As is common for pre-release events, prizes will be based on Match points after four Swiss rounds.

12 pts - 12 RoE Booster Packs and 3 QPs

9 pts - 4 RoE Booster Packs and 1 QP

6 pts - 1 RoE Booster Pack

All participants receive a pre-release Emrakul, the Aeons Torn

Release

Release events will run from May 10 at 11:00 AM EST as that is when the set is released to Magic Online in general. Events will consist of:

• Rise of the Eldrazi Booster Draft Queues
• Rise of the Eldrazi 16-player Swiss Sealed Flights
• Rise of the Eldrazi 64-Player "Top 8" Premier Drafts
• Rise of the Eldrazi "Top 8" Swiss Sealed Events
• Rise of the Eldrazi Release Events Championship
