[/caption]Rumor is circulating that the long-time bad-boy of the Pro Tour, Peter Szigeti, is about to receive a lifetime ban from playing Magic the Gathering. Numerous sources in the judging community have confirmed hearing this rumor but it has not been officially announced.
Szigeti has had numerous DQs and suspensions, perhaps the most famous coming in 2003 when he top-decked a Searing Flesh, wiped it on his backside, and then slammed it down on the table. He was given a match loss for Unsportsmanlike Conduct at the time.
The most recent incident is believed to be when Szigeti shoved a fellow Magic player at Grand Prix Oakland after the person accidentally bumped him with their backpack.
We will have to wait and see what happens. To view all the official suspensions and bannings by the DCI (and the RPGA) visit this site.
