We love discussions on our articles, but those comments must follow these guidelines: Have real discussions. Part of the beauty of the net is the ability to have discussions with people we can’t have face to face. We want interesting and thought provoking discussions on our articles. Ask questions of the writers and one another. There is no harm in questioning the wisdom of something that is said in these articles. Relevant links are welcome, irrelevant and spam links are not. – Don’t be afraid to link to other sites if the link relates to the topic being discussed. However if a link is spam, or unrelated to the discussion topic, it will be removed. Repeat offending users, or ips, will be banned from further posting. No signatures in comments. – Forums regularly allow posters to include a footer on their posts, this allows users to link their own site or archives of their posts, etc. Though comment threads are similar in design to forum threads, they are not the same and we do not welcome signatures on comments here.
