Today Ian Duke announced the changes to the Banned and Restricted list. More accurately, he announced that there would be no changes. After a tumultuous year of Standard the format appears to have settled into a range of acceptable health.

The big question going in to today was whether or not anything would be banned or unbanned in Modern with a Pro Tour lingering in 2018. Duke said that an unbanning was considered but R&D decided to hold off until February, after Pro Tour Rivals of Ixalan. With that in mind Duke goes on to say that unless the format changes drastically by January 15, 2018 (the next Banned and Restricted List update), to not expect any changes in Modern.
