Hello, It's me again. While I am happy to do it, some of the other CoolStuffinc crew are finding themselves overloaded in real life. I, as a school teacher, find myself with time to spare so I am taking the majority of reviews this go around. As I am sure you've seen by now I'm not ranking or rating cards for this set. Instead, I am just talking about the cards that gave me a reason to pause and think. Welcome to Jafar's Ruby.

While not an impressive start to an article this card has art and flavor galore. Hopefully, You know that feeling of early love. It's like you're flying or in another realm altogether. Which is exactly what Evasive is. I wish real love actually cost only 1 ink. LOL

At Four uninkable this card probably won't see any play but questing for 3 in ruby is good. Ruby already has some of the strongest Characters in the game so the situational Lore boost should be easy to achieve.

This is the fun of not putting cards in a specific list for review. IF you're playing Faline, then you should also list Tink. While Tink fits curves nicer because she is 2 inkable she is so easy for most decks to remove. Personally, I am happy to see a cheaper Shift Chain for Tinker Bell - Giant Fairy.

Two lore or 2 inkable is stout numbers in Ruby so this guy can "light your way" to some early lore gain. Even with evasive a 1 / 1 is still removable so the item trick isn't really a big deal. I feel we are truly close to a lore denial deck and ig Lumi takes the heat early then the denial can last longer. So, maybe?

Speaking of lore denial. This guy steals one from you as well. And he falls in cheap enough for Madam Mim tricks. In a non-challenge environment he actually plays better than the goat.

I know there isn't much Ruby aggro out there but if it's possible then this guy should be in that list. You're exerting your cheaper inkers for early lore anyway. Then our tough cricket can easily grab three.

NEVER overlook a free play potential. The deck design for her to be free is very specific but still it tickles the brain to see if you can do it, Right? A bonus ready move is nice in multiple situations. Probably, casual only but it can be one of those "remember that time I Lilo'd you!" stories your friends share.
