Top 10 Reprints of the 2025 Mega Tins

Reddit

It's that time of year again where we get the release of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Mega-Pack Tins, a collection of some of the cards released in the past year, and more. The 2025 Mega-Pack Tin includes 3 Mega-Packs, each containing 1 Starlight Rare, 1 Prismatic Secret Rare, 3 Ultra Rares, and 8 Common cards per Mega-Pack. This time around you can even go tin-less and just buy the Mega-Pack Bundle alone, a nice option for those looking to save space. Let's look at some of the best reprints that you'll find in these Mega-Packs.

10. Gallant Granite

The last time Gallant Granite was printed was about five years ago in the 2020 Tins. It's returning in this year's tin Mega Packs as an Ultra Rare. Decks that can utilize Rank 4 monsters like Ryzeal and Adamancipator can use Gallant Granite's ability to search out any Rock monster, like Nibiru, the Primal Being.

9. Silhouhatte Rabbit

A strong tech card is getting reprinted as a Prismatic Secret Rare: Silhouhatte Rabbit. We've seen decks like Odion take advantage of its ability to set any trap that summons itself as a monster directly from the deck. Its other powerful effect that destroys a Spell or Trap on the field when a Trap Monster is summoned is nothing to scoff at either. With so many powerful Spell and Traps in today's game, Silhouhatte Rabbit is a nice turn one option.

8. Nightmare Apprentice

A card getting its first reprint as a Starlight Rare is Nightmare Apprentice. A one-of-a-kind generic Illusion type card searcher is quite powerful. Many of the Illusion monsters have the ability of not being able to be destroyed by battle. Themes like Chimera, Artmage, and the upcoming Hecahands can make use of Nightmare Apprentice's search effect. We can only wait to see when more support comes out for Illusion themes but for now, this is a good pick up.

7. Bystial Magnamhut

Bystial Magnamhut and Bystial Druiswurm are both getting rarity upgrades as Starlight Rares in this year's Mega Packs. Although we've seen reprints of these cards before, the Starlight Rarity upgrade feels appropriate given their long history of being staple hand traps. Bystial Magnamhut's effect to search for any Dragon type monster should not be underestimated. Bystial Druiswurm's effect to target a monster to send to the GY when it goes to the GY has been used to overcome many tough boss monsters such as Ryzeal Detonator. The Bystial monsters have always been a rewarding way to play the game and now can be played with even shinier copies.

6. Fire King Courtier Ulcanix

Fire Kings have been a solid rogue option ever since the Fire Kings Structure Deck in 2023. It has even won major events thanks to professional players like Dinh-Kha Bui, proving that the deck can contend. Fire King Courtier Ulcanix came in Rage of the Abyss as a Secret Rare, making it somewhat difficult to pull. The 2025 Mega-Packs will reprint Fire King Courtier Ulcanix as an Ultra Rare. If you were on the fence about picking it up before, you will be happy about this reprint.

5. Primite Lordly Lode

Another card getting its second reprint is Primite Lordly Lode. The Primite engine has been a boon for decks such as Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Dark Magician that use at least 1 normal monster. Primite received more support cards in Duelist's Advance with Primite Fusion and Primite Dragon Nether Berzelius so a reprint for Lordly Lode, a key piece of the engine that is still high in demand, is nice. We won't see much change to the rarity however, because the Mega-Pack reprint will be Prismatic Secret Rare.

4. Fiendsmith's Requiem

Some more of the Prismatic Secret Rare reprints we are getting include Fiendsmith's Tract, Fiendsmith's Requiem, and Lacrima the Crimson Tears. We've seen a lot of movement in the market over the last year with the Fiendsmith engine. While it has yet to be hit on the ban list (as of the time of writing), it would come as no surprise if some part of the engine is hit. There's also the possibility of Fiendsmith's Lacrima being unbanned, which could change-up the lines for Fiendsmith combos.

3. The Black Goat Laughs

An extremely powerful card getting its reprint as a Prismatic Secret Rare is The Black Goat Laughs. It's a card that has stayed high in demand ever since its first printing in Phantom Nightmare due to its board breaking potential. Being able to turn off key monster effects is game changing, especially with so many powerful boss monsters running around. Fan-favorite decks like White Forest and Tearlaments can easily take advantage of its GY effect. If you've had your eyes set on this card, now might be your chance to pick it up.

2. Mulcharmy Purulia

Mulcharmy Fuwalos and Mulcharmy Purulia are both being reprinted in this year's tins as Prismatic Secret Rare cards. Ever since their release last year, the Mulcharmy cards have been staples in duelists' decks with their pseudo-Maxx "C" effect that lets you draw cards depending on where your opponent summons a monster from. We saw Mulcharmy Purulia reprinted in Maze of the Masters and Mulcharmy Fuwalos repreinted in Quarter Century Stampede. Although not in the most accessible rarity, these are welcome reprints for any duelist who does not have a play-set for their competitive deck.

1. Dominus Purge and Dominus Impulse

The number 1 spot goes to both Dominus cards, which are getting the Prismatic Secret Rare reprint treatment. These meta staples have incredibly strong effects that can be played from the hand for the cost of locking you out of activating the effects of monsters of certain attributes. A small price to pay in the correct deck. It's why these cards have seen some of the highest price points among Secret Rare cards from sets of the past few years. Dominus Purge allows you to stop your opponent from adding a card to their hand. It's basically another copy of Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring. Dominus Impulse allows you to stop the effect to special summon a monster. I still remember being dumbfounded reading this card effect for the first time. It's that strong. These are going to be the chase cards of the Mega Packs. Good luck on your pulls, duelists.
