Hi folks! Welcome to the Weekly Sale Column! This column will be aimed at showing you some cards on sale that could give you some new ideas for your lists. They will *usually* be Commander lists in Bracket 3 as well so you'll be able to play these in any Bracket 3 (or higher) pods. If you want to play in lower pods, just swap out the Game Changers for other choices and/or add more along with some other competitive combos if you want to compete with Bracket 4 and 5 pods! Remember that the weekly sale ends on Sunday night at 11:59 PM EST, so you have until then to get your cards ordered!
Now THIS is a fun sale. I personally have a colorless Eldrazi deck, which by nature, has a ton of artifacts. A common creature type in various artifact decks is the Myr. Myrs are these giant-nose little bros that are usually large in quantity, not quality. This deck that we've created is led by the CUTEST little Myr this side of the Mississippi, Urtet, Remnant of Memnarch.
Urtet has a few abilities that are key to our deck. First, he creates a 1/1 Myr when you cast a Myr spell. This can include Myr creatures and changelings, since they are also Myrs. The second, is that you untap all your Myrs at the beginning of combat. This is great because lots of Myrs tap for mana, so you can use them for mana, then attack with them. The last is that you can tap Urtet and pay ![]()

to put thee +1/+1's on all of your Myrs, only on your turn. Basically, Urtet floods the board and can make your board bigger while also getting to attack himself. Lets get into the deck!
A Myriad of Bros!
I'm still waiting on WotC to print the 1/1 Bro token, but a 1/1 Myr will suffice for now. When my editor sent me this list of cards, I set out one goal for it, and that was to make a list with not a single infinite combo. Artifact lists, especially ones that can pump out tokens, tend to lean more toward combos than not, so this was surprisingly difficult, given our sale and the best cards for Urtet. Our list will strive to be a Bracket 3 list with no combos. That means that our goal will be to flood the board with 1/1's, but to use those 1/1's to kill our opponents swiftly and efficiently.
Lets start with our Myrs. We've added the 5 colored mana-myrs (Gold, Silver, Leaden, Iron, and Copper), along with Palladium Myr and Alloy Myr. Having all of these will be good for activating Urtet faster, amongst many other options for higher costs that we want as early as possible. Next, we've got Myr Propagator, a Myr that can create copies of itself. While that seem miniscule, this deck shines with larger numbers, so any extra Myrs we can create are huge. To round out our Myrs, we've got Myr Battlesphere and Myr-ror Entity (Mirror Entity for those that don't like plays on words). Myr Battlesphere is going to be crucial for endgame damage and Mirror Entity can come down and deal massive damage quite quickly out of the blue, due to not needing to tap for it's ability.
The Myriarchy Rises
A myriarchy, fun fact, is a command of 10,000 people! This is fitting, because our goal is to flood our board with 10,000 Myrs! Doing this without infinite combos won't be easy (and likely unattainable, we're hoping to defeat our opponent's first!), but we're going to try anyways! I'll include any non-Myr tokens here as well, even the greatest of armies had its lesser soldiers too.
We've already mentioned Myr Propagator and Myr Battlesphere, but we've also got Myr Matrix, Myr Turbine and Myr-rodin Besieged (Mirrodin Besieged, I sure hope you've noticed this deck's theme by now). These all create 1/1 Myr tokens, with Mirrodin Besieged doubling as a win-condition in the game! Mirran is the mode we'll be choosing most of the time on this card, though, since it definitely pumps out the majority of our myriarchy.
Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer is a neat end game token generator that creates 2/1 Myrs (with haste, thanks to its ability), which can then become a copy of any other token we have, although a 2/1 token is usually the strongest choice in comparison to other 1/1's, unless we have a Construct from one of our next two cards. These are Urza, Lord High Artificer (one of our Game Changers) and Urza, Chief Artificer. Urza creates Construct tokens that are as large as our army, while also having separate utility in helping our creatures cast more cards and have evasion.
Are Myrs like ants?!
Myrmecology is the scientific study of ants (why yes, I have learned quite a few new words that start with Myr). This makes me wonder if Myrs were designed after ants. I'm sure there's an old WotC article somewhere that confirms that, but alas, ants are a great comparison. My deep knowledge of ants, courtesy of Marvel's Ant-Man films, tells me that ants are as efficient as they are countless. This is no different to our deck!
We've got plenty of cards that reduce costs in our deck and also provide us with mana, all helping us get to using Urtet as fast as possible. Cloud Key, Enthusiastic Mechanaut, Etherium Sculptor, and Foundry Inspector all reduce the costs of the cards in our deck. We've got the usual Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, and Chromatic Lantern, as will be in almost all 5-color decks I create; they're just too good not to play!
Myr Reservoir, Thran Dynamo, and Timeless Lotus give us larger amounts of mana, and Forsaken Monument makes anything we use for colorless give us more colorless! We also play many cards that make our creatures huge, specifically based on creature type, not just generally. This includes Banner of Kinship, Door of Destinies, and Stoneforge Masterwork. We've also got Metallic Mimic (and honorary Myr, we'll name him Metallic Myr-mic), and Vanquisher's Banner, for some extra pump as well.
To be Myrmecoid or not to be Myrmecoid?
Myrmecoid (adj) - : resembling an ant. Ants can usually carry at least 10 times their weight. If I could do that, I could lift over a ton, to help put it in perspective. We will carry that same weight, just to lift it up and slam it on our opponents' life totals as we sing a myriologue (look that one up) for our victory! That being said, there are many ways to do so even more efficiently.
Technically, in Bracket 3, you can play all of these combos and still be in Bracket 3, based solely on your Game Changers, however, if your deck strives to win efficiently using combos, you tend to lead into Bracket 4 or 5. That being said, I would play a few of these in my list anyways, but I'll leave it up to you to add these on your own; they're not going to be in the main list.
Myr Galvanizer and Myr Welder both lead to wonky combos where you loop token creations because of being able to untap and tap. Myr Retriever will let you use your graveyard to do wild things with cards like Krark-Clan Ironworks, and Myr Kinsmith gives you a level of consistency that dramatically grows when you're searching the other combo-esque Myrs. Basalt Monolith and Voltaic Key both lead to some of the most degenerate infinite mana combos you can use in Bracket 3, most of which are doable in this list with no other changes. Feel free to include any of these if you want to compete with higher level brackets!
Here's the list, enjoy!
