CoolStuffCon Orlando is finally upon us! This Friday, April 18th, players will descend upon the Hyatt Regency Orlando near the Orange County Convention Center for a weekend full of Magic: The Gathering. Whether you're coming to jam casual games of Commander or to play for glory in the competitive events, there's something for everyone at the event.
With only a few days left until the event kicks off, here're a few last minute things to keep in mind and help you prepare for the most fun event possible.
- Entry into the event hall is free to everyone! However, Commander players looking to attend will need badges to enter the CommandFest area.
- Don't have a badge? No sweat! Tier 1 badges will be available on site at the door (while supplies last). If you're looking to participate in the cEDH $5k tournament, Tier 2 packages are currently sold out, though signups for a waitlist will be available Sauturday, April 19th at the door.
- The weather is looking great throughout the weekend! Temperatures are expected to hang around the mid-to-high 80's, so pack those shorts and t-shirts! If you're staying at the Hyatt Regency hotel, remember to bring a swimsuit. The Hyatt Regency Orlando boasts a massive pool for guests to enjoy, which will be perfect for the warm and sunny weekend ahead!
- With plenty of special guests coming to CoolStuffCon Orlando, make sure you pack any cards you'd like to get signed at the event! Artists Ben Hill, Chris Seaman, Kieran Yanner, and Nana Qi will be attending, so pack up those fancy cards. Get a Shark Typhoon signed by CovertGoBlue along with his token, or a Goblin Piledriver by Jim Davis. Check out the full list of Special Guests right here!
- Join in the fun with the casual cosplay contest, happening Saturday, April 19th at 1:00 PM! You can go all out, or raid your closet and do something light and fun. Use your imagination, be silly, and get creative! Past casual cosplay contests have shown plenty of innovation, so bring your coolest cosplay and have a blast!
- Looking for food options during your stay? No worries! The Hyatt Regency Orlando is located on International Drive in the heart of Orlando. You can find all kinds of restaurants on I-Drive, but if you're willing to drive further, there are more options a small distance away. Plan ahead and figure out where you'll be getting your meals!
- Last but not least, important parking information for the hotel: CoolStuffCon attendees receive a discounted rate of $23! To obtain this discounted rate, use the QR code below and follow the instructions:

- Upon entering the garage, take a parking ticket and hold onto it for future reference.
- When you're getting ready to exit the garage, use the QR code above to receive the discounted rate. It's recommended that you take a screenshot of the code for ease of access.
- At the payment kiosks on exit, scan the ticket you received upon entry and then scan the QR code as well. If you do not scan this QR code, you will instead be charged full price for your visit.
- If you're staying at the Hyatt Regency itself, you simply need to use your room key at the kiosk instead and you should be set.
- If you're having any trouble, press the red "HELP" button on the screen at the exit kiosk.
CoolStuffCon Orlando is sure to be a blast! Come play Magic: The Gathering all weekend long and join game and events for whatever format you prefer. The fun starts this Friday, April 18th, so head over to the Hyatt Regency Orlando and join the party!
