Additionally, as is tradition, Mark Rosewater released his teaser for the set on Tumblr. These include all kinds of fun looks at rules text, type lines, and card names for cards across Marvel Super-Heroes without giving them away completely.
Mark is known for being a massive Marvel fan and had a big hand in this set, so you'll no doubt be seeing him as part of the debut streams next week.
New Regional Championship Info and Promos Unveiled
If you'd like a chance to compete for glory on some of Magic's biggest stages, then I have good news for you. The next round of Regional Championship Qualifiers have been announced, taking place between August 15 and November 29, 2026. The format will be Standard and two cards relevant to the format - Sunpearl Kirin and Pinnacle Starcage - have been announced for the season.
Additionally, and perhaps most exciting of all these details, the promo for the current Modern season's Regional Championship events was also unveiled. The promo in question is an amazing textless Kozilek's Command, depicted with art reminiscent of the infamous textless Cryptic Command from the game's past.
Be sure to check with your any of your local game stores to see when they'll be hosting their Regional Championship Qualifiers and start your journey towards the Pro Tour.
Event Finder and Tournament Resource Spicerack Shuts Down
Speaking of finding events, one of the most popular websites for doing so, Spicerack.gg, has officially shut down. Fans noticed that the site seemed to not be working well for a few days. Then, on Wednesday, news broke that the site had been shut down entirely and would be ceasing all functions.

The decision appears to come from the fact that Spicerack was starting to migrate to a new platform to be dubbed tabletop.gg. Due to some payment and accounting issues with their webhost, the site was shut down. As it would take quite a bit to get it back up, and they're already working on a migration anyways, the team at Spicerack has decided to simply take the site and application offline for good.
Many users, including myself, would often use Spicerack as a means of finding great events such as RCQs, FNMs, Store Championships, and more. Additionally, some tournament organizers would host their own tournaments through the site and application, leaving them to find a new place to do so going forward.
In the meantime, you can still find events via the Wizards Event Locator. It may not be quite at the level of where Spicerack was previously, but until a new page comes up, it does the job just fine.

After a rather poor showing over the past few weeks, Selesnya Landfall bounced back this past weekend at the Australia/New Zealand Regional Championship. The powerful deck was piloted by Riley Beck to take down Temur Prowess in the finals of the event.
The deck takes advantage of threats like Sazh's Chocobo and Mossborn Hydra for big damage. Thanks to Earthbending from Badgermole Cub, Earthbender Ascension, and Ba Sing Se, you can repeatedly get back Escape Tunnel and Fabled Passage for tons of Landfall triggers. Perhaps most importantly, these will also trigger Mightform Harmonizer, enabling some wildly explosive attacks if you stack your triggers correctly.
Congratulations on taking down the event Riley!
