Standard Naya Feather

Reddit

Today I decided to branch out a little bit from my comfort zone and play with some creatures! At least most of these creatures cast spells or re-buy spells. Feather, the Redeemed and Dreadhorde Arcanist are both powerful engines if you assemble just a handful of pump spells and/or combat tricks.

This is the deck we'll be playing in today's video.

Time Stamps:

Match 1 - 00:02:20

Match 2 - 00:22:10

Match 3 - 00:37:50

Match 4 - 00:53:41

The deck revolves around Feather but you don't need her to win. Dreadhorde Arcanist does a fine Feather impersonation and is just insane with Feather out since it allows you to put the spells you cast from your graveyard back into your hand. The Green splash gives us access to Domri's Ambush, Gruul Spellbreaker, and Collision // Colossus. Ambush is obviously great at dealing with creatures and planeswalkers but that +1/+1 counter really matters on Dreadhorde Arcanist. Growing your Dreadhorde Arcanist will allow you to recast bigger spells like Domri's Ambush and Collision // Colossus. I've talked a lot about Feather and Dreadhorde Arcanist, but Tenth District Legionnaire is also a real house. If you can untap with her one or two times you can make her a very large threat and close out the game quickly.

I'd recommend this deck if you enjoyed the Heroic decks back in Theros, enjoy combat math, or even like limited, as limited mostly involves combat. I'm not a huge fan of small creatures but I do like Feather and Dreadhorde Arcanist!

As always, thanks for reading,
