Hello and happiest of days to each of you. I was expecting today to be the first Top for you all from the FF: Commander set, but I just got back from flights being out on Monday through Wednesday interviewing for a job so I don't have the time to spend some time over this bigger set, in order to do right by y'all. This is actually my final Top one for you all instead. This is for Commander, 5 Color, everything multiplayer and loads more like Type Four!

Honorable Mention #2. (#17. Overall) - Capital City

This colorless tapping Town ETBs untapped and has cycling two, so it's already better than the colorless uncommon one that already existed with the Town subtype. Then you can tap this with a mana to make any color, so its color washing too. That's not bad at all my friends! And you can+ toss it into any Commander brew or help with splashing in other formats. Get it and run it too.

Honorable Mention #2. (#16. Overall) - Raubahn, Bull of Ala Mhigo

This Bear size and costed red legendary dork has ward equal to its power in life and then an attack trigger to get a free equipment and then on any attacking dork, not just them! Awesome possum!

#15. Elixir

This flavor-first 1 drop artifact can be tutored by Trinket Mage and other artifact tutors and then you can tap it with 5 and then exile it for a Feldon's Cane effect barring your lands and then you'll get life equal to what you shuffled too. Nasty stuff. Love this little impactful thang much!

#14. Squall, SeeD Mercenary

This four-drop 3/4 Orzhov legendary leader can give a dork that swings alone like Rafiq double strike! Then when you deal that combat damage with him, potentially twice, you'll get a Sun Titan trigger! Great combo on this lad of two beloved bodies. Just insert an evasion ability or Rogue's Passage and turn.

#13. Rydia's Return

This amazingly done five-cost Green uncommon sorcery is next! On resolution you'll have one of two modes! The first will be a lighter Overrun for the same size but minus evasion in trample. Then you can Restock for the same cost but only permanents and no exiling so this is both better and worse! This is an incredibly strong duo of game winning or recursion so I'm sure you can see why I'd want to give it a shout out here. Enjoy it much!

#12. Locke Cole

This fun Dimir 2/3 uncommon legendary dork with both deathtouch and lifelink like Vampire Nighthawk swaps flying for a combat damage trigger to draw and discard - looting great card flow or graveyard filling too. Love this little dude much, but I suspect he'll be better in the support of a Commander, 5 Color or another format than leading it.

#11. Laughing Mad

This three-cost instant common flashbackable Red spell is next for one more mana to flash it back. You can discard one to draw two - great rummaging early to dump lands or pricey stuff or to set up your graveyard too all at instant speed twice!

#10. Airship Crash

Yay for this three-cost instant speed cycling Green common removal spell that can take out flyers like Wing Snare or artifacts or enchantments like Naturalize. This could be a Commander Classic since it's very cheaply priced and you can cycle if not needed. Just try it out!

#9. Swallowed by Leviathan

To my mind what made Simic Madness so abusive and hard to answer wasn't Wild Mongrel or the Rootwalla but the Blue uncommon three-cost normally but one U to Mana Leak who tried to answer it with equal to your graveyard size. This spell costs three base, and then surveils two first to fill it up more and then does the same thing. Better for three mana. Love this and run it!

#8. Call the Mountain Chocobo

This four-cost also flashbackable Red spell, this time at sorcery speed and then flashback for six. You can tutor a Mountain to your hand and then note it's not a basic. And then you make a 2/2 dork Bird with the expected landfall power pumping in this set! Get it and run it all day long! I think you'll like it much!

#7. Evil Reawakened

This great Rise from the Grave style card for yourself also five-cost can return anything, but with two +1/+1 counters on it. Normally this effect at five mana gives it one +1/+1 counter, but here this is two! This is brilliant in Reanimation brews, or +1/+1 counter brews or just good stuff too with lots of key dorks that might get killed you are leaning against like Aristocrats with creature kills to bring back your Syr Konrad if killed. Get this powerful recursion spell!

#6. Ultimecia, Time Sorceress // Ultimecia, Omnipotent

This Dimir graveyard loving uncommon legendary five-drop with transform can arrive or swing for surveil 2 to get card selection or graveyard fodder too. Then you can flip her for eight mana and exile eight cards from your graveyard and flip her into the 7/7 powerhouse with menace in evasion and then get a free Time Walk too! I tossed her into my Dimir Graveyard Matters brew here (https://www.coolstuffinc.com/a/abesargent-06242025-building-a-dimir-graveyard-in-commander-with-emet-selch-unsundered) around Emet-Selch! Although she can lead one too with a Command Zone Time Walk too. Love her!

#5. Qiqirn Merchant

This awesome common Blue three-drop with a blockable body at 1/3 and then a tap and then Loot a card for a mana, great card flow there, and then you can tap and sac to draw three for seven mana minus one per Town you control. I tossed him into my 5 Color Town brew a couple of weeks ago here (https://www.coolstuffinc.com/a/abesargent-06172025-five-color-the-wandering-minstrel-in-commander). And since the first ability can give you great card selection and graveyard filling, I could have tossed him into the Dimir Graveyard one I just alluded to above too. From toughness matters too just a deck that needs to find combo pieces, this thing is great in all of the places!

#4. Aerith Gainsborough AND Minwu, White Mage

Everyone loves life-gain brews at the kitchen table and this two-set of mono-White legendary ones with lifelink are next. This lady will give a life gain here of a +1/+1 counter - great for many times in a turn like Soul Warden stuff. Then when she dies you can toss her counters onto all legendary dorks you control! From Commander to beef up your leader or just generally that's amazingly awesome! Then the five-drop 3/3 rare with vigilance too will turn life gain onto all Clerics getting the aforementioned +1/+1 counter. Nasty great stuff. From legendary matters to Cleric brews they are great in supporting their stuff or elsewhere.

#3. Rydia, Summoner of Mist

I adore this fun little Gruul two-drop 1/2 uncommon legendary lady. She has landfall to rummage a card like stuff to pricery to cast and such, and then tap her for X mana to recur that mana cost of a Saga to the battlfield with haste and a finality counter. You can discard and then recur too all while drawing! #2. Vivi Ornitier

This three-drop Izzet mythic 0/3 can make mana each of your turns equal to his power for anything. Then you can increase his size with a non-creature cast for a +1/+1 counter permanently - note that has no once/turn break or on your turn, and then his mana making doesn't tap him so you can swing and get the mana too. Love that as a sort of Voltron take on Spellslinger too. Get your Vivi Ornitier on!

#1. The Lunar Whale

This four-drop Vehicle with flying and crew and 3/5 size is next. It must be in my list and tops since I pulled it from each of the last two Tops. You can look at your top card of your library anytime - great for knowing when to use shuffle effects like Fetchlands and then you can play it too if you attacked with it! I don't care how you have to build around it, a cheaper splashable Future Sight is great anywhere, anytime in any brew! Then with that low crew cost and big butt it's easy to activate and hard to kill in combat.
