Hello and happiest of days to each of you! Today I wanted to give you my Top Spiders for Casual Play both in Spider Brews and outside of them too. From Five Color the Format to Commander to multiplayer, this is a beloved kindred type that heads back to the first set! I wrote this the day after I wrote up my Five Color Spider Commander Brew around Cosmic.

Honorable Mention

Spinner of Souls

I really enjoy this three-drop reaching rare 4/3 size. It's got a death trigger for your nontokens that bite it that's really strong. You draw the top creature from your library! Most won't attack your stuff or cast mass removal since you'll replace it with another dork, and with Volrath's Stronghold you can choose which one you draw from your graveyard.

Nyx Weaver

This three-drop reaching 2/3 will mill two each upkeep - great for graveyard fuel and many Spider related things with delirium and such too like Spider Spawning. Then you can exile this with three to get your best dork from your graveyard back!

Rotwidow Pack

This four-drop 2/4 reaching Golgari colored Spider is next. You can spend five mana to exile a dork from our graveyard, make a 1/2 reaching Spider token, and then each foe loses life equal to our Spider count as a bit of a win-con there I adore.

Spider-Woman, Stunning Savior

This two-drop Bear with flying too is a brilliant Hate Bear since once she's out your opponents' dorks and rocks arrive tapped - nice tempo! And the more foes you have?

Spectacular Spider-Man

This brilliant fun two-drop flashing 3/2 Spider dork is next with the ability to get flying outta nowhere for a mana to chump block! Then it can get sacked for another one to give our entire team hexproof and then also indestructible too to shut down interaction and then save them from that sweet damage or death.

#5. Ishkanah, Grafwidow

This five-drop mono-green 3/5 legendary sort of began our love of Spiders. When she arrives, you can make three more 1/2 with reach if you have delirium! Then you can spend 7 black mana to hit a person for a life loss for each of your Spiders. That makes her so incredibly good for the winning fun times! And board fill up too.

#4. Arasta of the Endless Web

And now let's turn to everyone's favorite enchantment! This four-drop rare legendary enchantment lady is on a nice 3/5 reaching body. Then when our foes cast that sweet spell, we can make a free 1/2 reach one too - the more players we have the better that gets.

#3. Arachnogenesis

Ah yes, every Spider fan's favorite party trick Fog! This three-cost instant will make one equal to the number of attackers at you with reach and then 1/2 size too. Then you can prevent all of the great combat damage they'd deal so they stick around as well as your other Spiders too. It's awesome possum!

#2. Cheap Deathtouch/Reach

Next up are cheap Spiders with both reach and deathtouch to shut down aerial-based attackers. Then the Radioactive option costs one and then sacs with 2 at sorcery speed to be a Spider Hero Tutor to your hand - great to skate!

#1. Silklash Spider

Ah yes, my favorite Spider of all time! This used to be a classic multiplayer, it costs five, with a great 2/7 reaching body and can block and survive attackers up to 6 damage like Akroma! Then you can sweep the sky of flyers by dealing damage to them. If you blocked a flyer, just deal another amount to finish it off! Embrace the Silklash Spider all over again!
