Energy Counters are a key part of the Kaladesh experience. It appears, however, that there is a small power outage. Announced today, the first print run of Kaladesh boosters will not have Energy Counters. Subsequent print runs will feature the card.

In the interim players are required to keep track of Energy Counters. Wizards has provided a print out here. Some players are looking for a more creative solution.
