National Championship Season found itself in England this past weekend for the first English National Championship since 2006. Before Nationals were temporarily retired the tournament was folded into United Kingdom Nationals but this year an English National Champion would join Niels Molle at the World Magic Cup.
Autumn Burchett never stopped steamrolling her opponents. The Top 16 finisher at Pro Tour Battle for Zendikar never dropped a match. Finishing the Swiss at 11-0-1, she dispatched Molle in the Quarterfinals before securing her slot on the National Team by vanquishing Peter Ward. With a spot on the National Team secure, she took out Ross Broxup (who had just defeated Quentin Martin) to earn the title English National Champion.
