Nakamura on top in Hong Kong

Reddit

989 players came to Hong Kong to crack Theros packs and battle both Sealed and Draft. After the first day of epic battles featuring Gods, heroes, and monsters, only 128 players made the cut to the Draft portion on Day 2.

During the second day, a number of notable players rose to the top, including Martin Juza, Shuhei Nakamura, Ken Yukuhiro, Shouta Yasooka, and Stanislav Cifka. In the end though, only eight players would make it to the last draft of the day, and both Cifka and Yasooka found themselves just out of reach.

After the first two rounds of the final draft, teammates Martin Juza and Shuhei Nakamura met in the finals. Both of these players are incredible limited players and are titans of the Grand Prix circuit; Nakamura has 23 Top 8s while Juza has 18. In the end, Juza's Black-White deck was not able to keep up with Nakamura's Blue-Green deck, and Shuhei Nakamura took the match down two games to one.

Congratulations to Hall of Famer Shuhei Nakaura, Champion of Grand Prix Hong Kong, for earning his sixth Grand Prix title.
