Edge of Eternities might be a multiverse-hopping odyssey, but White came to this set with both wings and warships ready. Let's dig into the luminous gems that deserve a slot in your 99... or maybe even at the help of your fleet in the command zone.
Exalted Sunborn
Angels don't just fly... they ascend. And Exalted Sunborn might just be the new seraphic staple for every token strategy you own. With flying and lifelink already making it combat-relevant, the real spice here is its built-in Anointed Procession effect: If one or more tokens would be created under your control, twice that many of those tokens are created instead.
Yes, it doubles tokens. Yes, it's on a creature. Yes, it has Warp. And yes, you're going to blink it, reanimate it, and protect it with your life.
This card belongs in:
- Mondrak, Glory Dominus mono-White token decks
- Adeline, Resplendent Cathar and White weenie builds
- Aggressive multicolor token decks like Baylen, the Haymaker or Jetmir, Nexus of Revels (if you want more Naya, read here)
- Any blink deck with Ephemerate, Teleportation Circle, or Lae'zel's Acrobatics
Cosmogrand Zenith
This might be my sleeper favorite of the set. Cosmogrand Zenith rewards you every time you cast your second spell each turn, offering a modal choice: either create two 1/1 White Soldier tokens or buff your whole team with +1/+1 counters. That's the kind of subtle engine that snowballs as the game goes longer.
In the right deck, this becomes value with discipline. It pushes you into low-curve double-spell territory or token/superfriends decks where board-wide buffs matter. Flexibility is king, and this soldier? Loyal and adaptable.
Great in:
- Mavren Fein, Dusk Apostle or Skrelv's Hive go-wide strategies
- Katilda, Dawnhart Prime in Humans builds
- Decks with Clarion Spirit or Mentor of the Meek
The Seriema
A flying Legendary Spacecraft that tutors up another legend the moment it enters the battlefield? You had me at "spaceplane." The Seriema is part Mausoleum Secrets and part Avacyn, Angel of Hope because once you Station it to 7+ power, all your tapped legendary creatures gain indestructible.
The best part? Tapping legendary creatures to power it up is practically free in Commander. Combat, mana abilities, convoke... you name it. Suddenly, your ragtag band of named heroes is an indestructible, interstellar fleet.
Slot it into:
- Djeru and Hazoret or Jodah, the Unifier legend-based decks
- Ratadrabik of Urborg recursion builds
- Wyleth, Soul of Steel Voltron packages where legendary is the standard
Haliya, Guided by Light
This one is just... clean. Haliya, Guided by Light is a Soul Sister meets Tome of Legends, but geared up in planetary accoutrement. She grants you 1 life every time a creature or artifact enters on your side, and if you've gained 3 or more life that turn, she lets you draw a card at your end step. And with Warp, she's a sneaky draw engine waiting in exile.
You don't even need to be playing in full lifegain mode. Just some blink, tokens, or food/clue/treasure spam is enough to get consistent flow of card draw here. A quietly potent commander or an efficient 3-drop in any deck that dabbles in incremental lifegain.
Plug her into:
- Liesa, Shroud of Dusk or Heliod, Sun-Crowned builds
- Clue decks with Lonis, Cryptozoologist or Tamiyo's Journal
- Sevinne's Reclamation and blink setups
Patrolling Peacemaker
We love a good robot cop. And this one doesn't just lay down the law: it punishes crime with proliferation. Patrolling Peacemaker enters with two +1/+1 counters and whenever an opponent commits a crime (which can be anything from attacking to casting spells that hurt you... or breathes anywhere in your direction), you proliferate.
It's subtle, but the passive political leverage is rather strong. Every time they try to mess with you, your board just gets better. Plus, proliferate is a flexible mechanic that supports +1/+1 counters, poison, planeswalkers, and more.
Try this with:
- Atraxa, Praetors' Voice for obvious (read: poisonous) reasons
- Ezuri, Stalker of Spheres or Rishkar, Peema Renegade
- Gavony Township, The Ozolith, and Inspiring Call
Luminous Justice
White in Edge of Eternities is not just support: its core engine material. The cards I mentioned above go wild with doubling your board presence, to tutoring legends and defending them from extinction, to rewarding smart sequencing or passive lifegain... White's showing depth here, not just devotion.
This isn't your grandma's mono-White. It's space-age synergy, smooth ramping value, and cards that scream "build around me."
