Happy Birthday, Magic! As was noted by @MTGHistory on Twitter, August 5th is listed as the official release date for Magic's first set, Alpha. Though the official launch wasn't until later in August of 1993 at GenCon, today is Magic's 28th birthday. Now, we're all old hats at content creation and competitive play and life in general.
