Hi folks. Welcome to the Weekly Sale Column. This column will show you some cards on sale that might spice up your lists or inspire something completely new. These lists will usually be Commander lists in Bracket 3, so you'll be able to play these in any Bracket 3 (or higher) pods.
If you want to play in lower pods, just swap out the Game Changers for other choices; if you want to compete with Bracket 4 and 5 pods, add more along with some other competitive combos.
Keep in mind that the Game Changers in your deck aren't the only thing that moves you up and down a bracket. Your intent with your deck; inclusions of other interactions, engines, and combos; and overall playgroup should all be factors in your bracket!
Remember that the weekly sale ends on Sunday night at 11:59 PM EST, so you have until then to get your cards ordered.
Dilly Dally Shilly Shally
For today's list, we're enjoying the Destination Unknown Sale, where we have lots of lands-matter cards. We've got a sweet Mono-Green deck for you today led by the Queen of Midgar herself, Tifa Lockhart. Tifa is quite simple. If a land enters, her power doubles. Another land, it doubles again. That's my kind of gameplay loop: Land - Bigger - Land - Bigger - Land - Bigger-er. Simple, easy, and effective.
If you can get her power to at least 21, then you have the potential to one-shot someone in your pod, which feels so good when you can do it. Our list is designed to get as many landfall triggers as possible while also benefitting from that with the rest of our deck, as landfall in a Mono-Green deck can be quite strong. Let's begin.
These Lands Fall Faster than the Sector-7 Plate
There's no one more afraid of Tifa than Don Corneo, and that's because Tifa packs a huge punch, literally. In order to make that happen, we want lots of landfall triggers. Tifa's power only needs to double five times in a turn to one-shot someone, and that's if she's just at her base power. Imagine if you played Scale Up first!
Starting with ramp spells, we have usual land-searching spells like Harrow, Elvish Rejuvenator, Kodama's Reach, and Entish Restoration at three mana which help curve out after playing Tifa on turn two.
We also have a few cards that indirectly ramp for us, like Traveling Chocobo giving us extra lands each turn (also from Final Fantasy). Into the North works well with our Snow-Basics and the Scrying Sheets in our lands.
Speaking of extra lands, Icetill Explorer will work in tandem with Ancient Greenwarden to absolutely slam down as many lands as possible into play. It's enough to make even Sephiroth himself fear Tifa's fists.
Tempt with Discovery and Open the Way will give us more than one Land at once, probably between two and four. Meanwhile, cards like Will of the Sultai and Boundless Realms have the potential for tons of Lands all at once.
Finally, we have a few static permanents that give us Lands, like Staff of Titania which creates Forest Dryad tokens. Sword of the Animist will search out a Basic Land when Tifa attacks, and Rites of Flourishing, which you can ideally convince the Blue player to protect.
Math is for Blockers
Now let's get into some of our other benefits from landfall, along with some extra beef for Tifa. Bristly Bill, Spine Sower is so powerful for an attacking Landfall deck, since he gives +1/+1 counters and can double them later.
Lotus Cobra and Tireless Provisioner will give us lots of extra mana. Mightform Harmonizer will essentially let you double Tifa twice, making each Land turn into a quadrupling of power with Tifa in play.
Cards like Greensleeves, Maro-Sorcerer and Cultivator Colossus are as big as we have lands in play. That will ideally be a ton. Blackblade Reforged is the equipment version of that effect that can make Tifa larger.
For some combat tricks, we play cards like Legolas's Quick Reflexes, Snakeskin Veil, and Tamiyo's Safekeeping for targeted protection. Cards like Ram Through, Contest of Claws, and Bridgeworks Battle are great for removing blockers. We can't play Tifa Lockhart without playing Tifa's Limit Break.
My dream is to double with Tifa's trigger, double some counters with Bristly Bill, Spine Sower, double with Mightform Harmonizer's trigger, and triple the Final Heaven mode of Tifa's Limit Break, all in one turn.
Change the Game
For the astute of you out there, you'll notice that we only play two Game Changers. Yes, this is still Bracket 3, but those two are going to help us hit big: Crop Rotation and Worldly Tutor.
Crop Rotation is going to be huge for some big swings, as it is guaranteed Landfall while also potentially grabbing us a removal spell for a blocker. You can play a fetchland like Prismatic Vista to go get a Snow-Covered Forest. Then use that for Crop Rotation's cost to go grab Talon Gates of Madara or Mouth of Ronom.
Worldly Tutor is going to be great at finding one of our other win conditions. Using it to find Scute Swarm, Bristly Bill, Spine Sower, or Mightform Harmonizer early on can give us some early needed advantage. In the late game, using it to find Disciple of Freyalise for a post-combat card advantage swing can be huge. It has tons of utility and is worth playing.
If you want to add a third, I'd recommend either The One Ring to help give this deck some more card advantage or Natural Order to take advantage of the fact that you're a Mono-Green deck.
Here's the list; check it out!

Final Thoughts
I love a good Landfall deck. Taking something that we're already doing (playing Lands) and adding advantage to it is exactly where I want to be in a game of Commander.
Thanks for reading!
