This was a fairly light week on good solid reading, I couldn't find a great deal of stuff that got me really drawn into it. However, here it is, the best of the web.

Monday, January 4th

• ManaNation - Ep. 95 - Martin Juza drafts Zendikar - This weeks episode is one of the very popular ones where we allow players to watch and learn from Pros drafting.
• ChannelFireball - Building a Better Scapeshift - An excellent explanation and exploration of the Extended Scapeshift deck.
• ChannelFireball - White Weenie in Extended - Another excellent overview of a deck in Extended, the author does a great job digging, discussing and divulging a lot of insights for the deck.
• Wizards - From the Director's Chair - R&D Director Aaron Forsythe penned a great article with lots of interesting facts and details about 2009 and about things to expect in 2010.
• TCGPlayer - The Best Decks of Extended - Conley Woods has not finished his ascent to greatness, but he will. Until then we would all do well to pay attention to what he says. Check out his article on the best decks in the Extended metagame right now.

Tuesday, January 5th

• ManaNation - Rainbow Stairwell - I’ll Take Mine Monocolored Please - Ben introduces and discusses his mono-colored Rainbow Stairwell deck.
• ManaNation - Netdecking – Tool for Fools? - Lauren gives a brief introduction to the concept of netdecking.
• Wizards - Making the Rest of your Deck Better - Sadin makes an excellent discussion about picking your draft cards to allow greater synergy and a better deck.

Wednesday, January 6th

• ManaNation - Rule of Nine Refined - Part II - Dan returns to the well and discusses a new aspect of the Rule of Nine.

Thursday, January 7th

• ManaNation - Magic Economics -Diversifying Risk - Kelly is here to talk to you about the smart move with Magic investments, diversifying. It's not just for bankers anymore.
• CubeDrafting - The Cloud Spirit Dilemma - Reuben Bresler makes a rare post, guesting on Evan's CubeDrafting.com to consider some difficulties that come with balancing a cube.

Friday, January 8th

• ManaNation - Off the Beaten Path - Foot and Mouth - Sam discusses Extended 'Tooth and Nail'
• ManaNation - JBoots Drafts Zendikar #9 - Another strong Youtube led discussion through Zendikar draft.
• ChannelFireball - Plumbing the Depths - Brad discusses the Dark Depths deck, matchups, strategies etc. An excellent overview for a top tier Extended deck.
• StarCityGames - Announcing... - The title is quite misleading, Bennie delves into a number of topics, introduces a standard deck idea 'Agent Smith' as well as discussing things like the new EDH podcast, and more.
