A Final Top 15 From Tarkir: Dragonstorm Commander

Hello happiest of folks today, I hope your day is going super mega well today! Last week I knocked out my first Top 15 of the latest set Tarkir: Dragonstorm Commander for those kitchen table formats like Commander, multiplayer, Highlander, Five Color, Type Four, Peasant and Pauper - but primarily multiplayer.

Honorable Mention. Goldlust Triad

Goldlust Triad

Everyone loves themselves ramp in the form of Treasures! This five-drop Red flying Dragon with myriad will turn combat damage into it, so get your swing on to get them all! Myriad there is nasty good. Great stuff to get us started!

#15. Diviner of Mist

Diviner of Mist

This five-cost flying Dragon too is next with a 4/5 body and an attack trigger to mill four and then you can cast a spell for free cheap in your graveyard, and it doesn't have to be what you milled either. Brilliant stuff for the swinging and then graveyard filling too, and free cheap spells - good for Spellslinger, Reanimation, and Dragons too.

#14. Rampart Architect

This 3/4 has an ETB and attack trigger to make a 1/3 Wall with defender, and then when any of them with defender die? You can ramp a basic land tapped! Love that in any Defender matters brews, but many Five Color brews often ran stuff like Wall of Blossoms and Fog Bank or Steel Wall just naturally. This slides into them too!

#13. Ainok Strike Leader

This Bear sized and costed White rare is next! When this or your Commander swings make a 1/1 Goblin token attacking for each foe you have on them. They don't leave play either. Then you can sac this to save your tokens by giving them all indestructible too! Love that much. Enjoy it all up and down the block from Tokens, to Goblins to even just Aggro too.

#12. Zenith Festival

This X-spell sorcery with harmonize at the same cost with an exiling cards and then casting them through next turn. You get great options, but exile too many and you'll not be able to play them with the mana you need for this too. There is a tension here that's rough. Harmonize is great since you can tap and then just spend two Red and leave bunches of mana for casting.

This six-cost sorcery is in Green and then hitting my 11th spot! Then, as you can see, you'll draw a card for each dork with a higher power and then all of your stuff grows in that hand size for the turn! Great combo and win con and just hand refiller too. Love it much!

#10. Felothar the Steadfast

Felothar the Steadfast

Our lowest scoring Commander eligible dork is this four-drop toughness matters Abzan leader with an 0/5 size. Your dorks deal combat damage based on toughness, your defenders can swing and then tap and then sac with three mana another dork to draw equal to its toughness - great stuff there! He's got nasty good synergy with all of the stuff.

This four-drop mono-Red 4/4 Dragon is next! With evasion in flying too! Yay! Then you can look at your top card and then cast it if a higher power dork is there! If not? Shuffle with fetch lands or the Omen spells too. Love that value over time!

#8. Protector of the Wastes

Protector of the Wastes

This six-drop mono-White Dragon too has monstrosity 3 for five mana. Then when it arrives or is made monstruous exile a pair of artifact or enchantment by each one with another controller! You can exile here - much better than Disenchant to remove two problems off the board permanently. They are out to pasture! Then you can do it once more. Nasty card advantage taking out four things with one card. Also, a powerhouse in Type 4 with infinite mana and then just one spell per turn too. Love this much and I'm sure you will turn when you give it a spin!

#7. Elsha, Threefold Master

Elsha, Threefold Master

This fun three-drop three color Djinn lady has trample and prowess on a 1/1 body and then a combat damage trigger to make that many 1/1 Monk tokens with prowess to flood that board all up and then down the block. Love her much, but you do need to build around her to make that work either Voltron or spells to give her spells and unblockable and such.

This three-cost artifact will toss a counter here when you cast a spell and then you can pull of three to fork the next one to trigger stuff like magecraft or turn castings of cheap Cantrips such as Opt or Rituals into a copy of a bigger thang like a player/permanent killing X Burn spell. Yay for this in all of the Spellslinger Brews!

This four-cost sorcery in Black with three words in the title will draw two and then discard one. Countdown from 5 to 1! Then add in flashback too for six. Then you lose two life and then make an X tapped 2/2 Black Zombie for the number of cards that arrived to your graveyard from you hand or deck this turn. Nasty great card flow!

#4. Shiko and Narset, Unified

Shiko and Narset, Unified

This Jeskai four-drop on-curve with flying and vigilance 4/4 is next! The second spell you cast each turn will get copied if it targeted anything stuff! Great extra targeted things like Voltron spells or removal like Swords to Plowshares or even Auras. And if not targeted? You'll still get value by drawing instead, great back-up. Note that second spell ability doesn't just trigger on your turn, but all of them! They are a pretty powerful duo!

#3. Tempest Technique

This splashable four-cost mono-White Aura has storm and is an Ethereal Armor for your dorks. With just it out and an okay storm count of 4, your dork would get +25/+25. Commander damage or 5 Color's 20 life are both fast kills there in one shot. And with more enchantments out? Nasty good stuff. It's great in Auras, Enchantments, Voltron and Storm too! It's a strongly powerful win-con!

#2. Bone Devourer

Bone Devourer

This four-drop mono-Black flash flying ETBs with counters after death like the multiplayer classic Khabal Ghoul, only with evasion and then flash to surprise everyone. Cast Wrath and then this to get a giant dork. Or after your foe sweeps their EOT with flash. Then when this dies, refill your hand by drawing your counters here and losing life too. Love that much!

#1. Teval, the Balanced Scale

Teval, the Balanced Scale

This awesome similarly costed 4/4 body with flying on a four-mana body is tops of my second list! This has a swing trigger to mill three and then return a land tapped from your graveyard. Note it doesn't have to be a basic or what you milled. Then when a card leaves your graveyard make a free 2/2! Love that so much that I built around it!
