Multicolored cards are usually more powerful than mono-colored ones. That is because they are harder to cast and usually try to box you into an archetype. Two-color and three-color cards draw us in with their strong effects and have us asking: "How can I make the most of this card." There were so many new multicolored cards from 2025 and most of them are legendary creatures thanks to the popularity of Commander. Some of them are ready to break out of the Command Zone and into a Cube near you. Let's kick things off with an honorable mention.
Honorable Mention - Cheering Crowd
Once again, Spider-Man is present on this list, proving the strength of this set in a Limited environment. Cheering Crowd is a hybrid Gruul card that comes down in the early game and forces your opponent to make a hard decision each turn. Now, if you ask me, that kind of sounds like the opposite of a Gruul card. However, it does become a pretty beefy creature if your opponent allows it to. Each player may choose to put a +1 Counter on this creature during their main phase, and if they do, they get one colorless mana for each counter on it. So yes, technically this could boost your opponent, however, you not only get mana from this card, but a massive creature as it grows each turn. This is such a great card to play on turn two!
5. Sokka, Tenacious Tactician
Sokka, Tenacious Tactician is perfect for a noncreature focused strategy. Sokka creates tokens each time you cast a noncreature spell and then pumps those tokens since he gives them all the prowess keyword. He also gives them all menace, which makes them even more threatening. If you see Sokka in a draft pack it could be an easy card to splash for if you are in Azorius Control or Boros Aggro.
4. Bumi, Unleashed
Bumi, Unleashed is a two-for-one that enters and earthbends 4. This creates a total of 9 power on the board for only four mana! That alone is worth splashing Red, Green, or even both in your draft deck. Bumi also allows you to get an extra combat in with your land creatures if he deals combat damage to your opponent. This ability also untaps all of your lands, allowing you to easily cast more than one spell per turn which is an easy way to close out a game. Bumi provides too much explosive power for just a five mana investment, and is worth trying out in your Cube.
3. Kuja, Genome Sorcerer
Kuja, Genome Sorcerer is a self contained engine. This legendary wizard creates the ever-popular 0/1 black Wizard tokens from Final Fantasy on each of your endsteps. These wizard tokens deal damage to your opponents whenever you cast a noncreature spell. Kuja will create a small army of these tokens, until he is ready to transform onto his other side. Trance Kuja, Fate Defied is a 4/6 creature that doubles all damage a wizard source would deal to your opponent or a permanent they control. This includes himself, making him a huge threat, and all of the wizard tokens that ping your opponent as well! Cast a few noncreature spells and just win on the spot.
2. Kefka, Court Mage
Kefka, Court Mage is a Grixis legend that creates card advantage for you, and card disadvantage for your opponents. This effect happens each time he enters play or attacks, making him an extremely powerful draw engine. He also happens to have another side like Kuja. Kefka's flip side has to be paid for using eight generic mana. However, this cost also makes your opponent sacrifice a creature as well.
Kefka, Ruler of Ruin is a 5/7 flying creature that reads, "Whenever an opponent loses life during your turn you draw that many cards." Decking yourself is suddenly possible when you consider the amount of cards this powerful wizard will cause you to draw. Hopefully, your opponent will be long gone before that ever happens, but it is something to stay aware of.
1. Aang, Swift Savior
Aang, Swift Savior is yet another card that has two sides to him. Aang airbends a spell or creature when he enters play, making him a counterspell on a stick. Aang is also a 2/3 flyer, making him a perfect evasive creature that chips in for damage. Countering your opponent's spell and having a flying creature is a great way to stay ahead of the game. That alone might put Aang on this list, but the other side of him puts him on the top of the list.
Aang and La, Ocean's Fury is a 5/5 with reach and trample that puts a +1 Counter on each tapped creature you control whenever it attacks. That means this creature is essentially a 6/6 the turn it is coming in for damage. This card will win games if you have any amount of creatures in play. Mana dorks become threatening enough with a couple of counters each. If your opponent cannot remove this creature quickly they will be swimming with Admiral Zhao at the bottom of the sea at the North Pole.
That does it for Part 1 of the multicolored cards from 2025 for Cube. That's right, there's that many powerful new cards to consider for Cube that this series is still not over. Just one more to go!
See you on the battlefield!
