This is my final article in my long running series looking at cards for your Cube that came out in 2025. I hope this series has inspired you to never let your Cube become dull too quickly, and has helped you find new inspiration and innovation through these new cards. I know I have spent a lot of time recently tweaking my Commander Cube and adding a lot of cards that I've talked about in this series. So, without further ado, here are some final multicolored cards for you to consider moving forward.
Honorable Mention - Colossal Grave-Reaver
Colossal Grave-Reaver is one of the coolest dragons we've gotten in a long while. This Reanimating beast is an awesome card for Golgari graveyard strategies. Eight mana is the only thing bringing this card down to the bottom of this list. You have to be pretty lucky with your flips to get maximum value out of this, but it is still a lot of fun to resolve. If you happen to only get a Llanowar Elves off this effect, hopefully this massive flying threat is enough to end the game on his own.
5. Sin, Spira's Punishment
Sin, Spira's Punishment is a really unique Reanimate target for Cube. Landfall is always a popular archetype to include, especially with all the fetch lands to help with color fixing. Sin can bring back a lot of lands from your graveyard or even something more exciting. I don't love that this effect is random, but I do like the fact that its effect is repeated each time this creature attacks. I would rather have Atraxa, Grand Unifier as my top end playing most of these colors in a Reanimate shell, but if I had Sin as a backup I wouldn't complain.
4. Superior Spider-Man
Out of the countless number of Spider-Men that were released last year, this one stands out above all the rest. You could say he is... Superior. Superior Spider-Man is a four-mana creature that enters as a copy of any creature in a graveyard. The coolest part of this card is that it works in the same way a Clone does. Since Spider-Man enters as a copy, he will get any cast triggers the creature happens to have.
This insane effect works great with powerful monsters of the Eldrazi variety. Emrakul, the World Anew and Emrakul the Promised End are probably the most powerful things you can pull off with this neighborhood superhero.
3. Pinnacle Emissary
Urza, Lord High Artificer is one of the strongest creatures for artifact strategies in Cube. He goes extremely well with cards like Saheeli, Sublime Artificer that create an artifact whenever you cast another artifact. Pinnacle Emissary functions in the exact same way, except it creates flying artifact creatures, which are slightly more powerful.
Pinnacle Emissary also has the new Warp ability from Edge of Eternities we received last year. For one hybrid Izzet mana you can cast this creature for a single turn of use. Depending on what Cube you are playing this in, you can cast this turn one, and then dump some fast mana rocks like the Moxen. This creature is an army in a can and will get out of hand extremely quickly.
2. Spider-Woman, Stunning Savior
Now I said above that Superior Spider-Man is one of the best Spider-Men, but don't count out the Spider-Women of the world. Spider-Woman, Stunning Savior is one of the best 2-drops for Cube that we received in quite some time. This two-mana flying 2/2 creature forces all your opponent's artifacts and creatures to enter play tapped.
This slight bit of advantage is huge in a fast-paced environment such as Cube. Spider-Woman also has flying, making it a viable game plan for victory in a heavy control shell. She has a hybrid mana symbol for her only colored pip making her a great splash card as well! This creature is so insanely good! Do not pass this to your opponent unless you want to end up entangled in a spidery web of control Magic.
1. Vivi Ornitier
Well... did you see this coming? The biggest outcry for a card to be banned last year was for none other than Vivi Ornitier. Believe it or not, this card overperforms no matter in what format it is played. It slowly pings down your opponent, becomes a massive threat, and gives you mana for your late game spells turns early.
Vivi generates so much value, it's terrifying. If left unchecked, this three-mana creature can quickly outscale late game threats. Once a card becomes banned in a format, it can quickly find a new home in Cube. I'm looking at you Jace, the Mind Sculptor.
Well that wraps up all of the new cards for Cube in 2025. I hope you all have enjoyed this series and look forward to new Cube cards in 2026!
See you on the battlefield!
