The long-awaited collaboration is here at last. Magic: The Gathering - Final Fantasy is officially available anywhere you can buy MTG cards. This includes digital releases, with the set hitting both MTG Arena and Magic Online earlier this week. Check with your local game store to pick up some cards or, if they don't have what you're looking for, be sure to hit the CoolStuffInc Magic: The Gathering - Final Fantasy page to pick up whatever you need! Sealed, singles, and supplies are all in stock, so get what you're looking for and get ready to build your next deck around your favorite character!
Secret Lair Woes

In addition to the release of Magic: The Gathering - Final Fantasy this week, the latest Secret Lair Superdrop also took the internet by storm. As with many Secret Lair drops of late, the mega popularity of Final Fantasy also translated here as fans rushed in to secure their place in line with the hopes of trying to acquire Final Fantasy-themed Secret Lairs.
The sale was marred by numerous issues, such as random line placements, multi-hour wait times, and a line pause several hours in. Players everywhere expressed discontent with this situation and many were unable to acquire copies of the lairs as a result. This led to further concerns about Wizards' switch to limited print runs over print-to-demand and the issues not only with their website but also the general availability of product for those who wanted it.
While the Final Fantasy lairs have long since sold out, most of the others are still quite available as of this writing. If you're still looking for your Frank Frazetta, Phil Foglio, or Imiri Sakabashira lair, you should still be able to lock in a copy without all the chaos. Check out the MTG Secret Lair website for more details.

In somewhat of a surprising move, it was revealed earlier this week that Wizards of the Coast has partnered with Discord for a special promotion. This collaboration brings special Magic: The Gathering themed profile accessories to the client. Fans can now get special visual skins for their avatars, username visuals, and even their profile cards based around their favorite color in the game. As Magic: The Gathering - Final Fantasy hits shelves, it's also making waves right off the bat on digital clients. One of the cards players everywhere are most excited to play with and brew around is Vivi Ornitier, as the card's ability has the potential to get out of hand extremely fast. Early results are few and far between due to availability at the moment, however we do have this interesting iteration on the Izzet Prowess lists utilizing the card. Additionally, it makes use of the new Astrologian's Planisphere to buff creatures on a more permanent basis and get extremely out of control. Will the deck settle into something like this going forward or will it return to the more classic builds? We'll just have to see as the format continues to settle!
