Welcome, Illumineers! It's been a jam-packed week in the world of Disney Lorcana, and we're here to break it all down. From high-stakes competition in Melbourne to jaw-dropping reveals for the next chapter in the game, let's dive into all the excitement!
The Disney Lorcana Challenge: Melbourne - Crowning a Champion!

The first Disney Lorcana Challenge in the Oceanic region took us Down Under to Melbourne, where the competition was as fierce as ever! After a weekend of thrilling matchups, strategic plays, and dazzling performances, Dihn Khang Pham emerged victorious, etching their name into Lorcana history.

The meta was buzzing with innovative decklists, including standout performances from Ruby/Sapphire Control, Amber/Steel "Diggy Diggy Hole", Sapphire/Steel Control, Emerald/Steel Discard, and Amethyst/Emerald Tempo. Aggro, control, and midrange strategies all had their moments, but it was "Dihn A Little Lore" that ultimately reigned supreme. The event also showcased incredible gameplay, with side events, cosplays, and more happening all weekend long.
However, not all the headlines were positive. Clement "Raclem" Fusade found himself at the center of controversy after being unsportsmanlike on stream by "rule sharking" their opponent and convincing the table judge to side with them, leaving a critical character exerted that allow Raclem to bounce back during the game and ultimately win the match. This unfortunate incident led to his Ravensburger revoking their Worlds invite. The competitive scene is built on trust and integrity, and while this moment was disappointing, it serves as a reminder that fair play remains a top priority in Lorcana tournaments. A lot of the community is pushing even harder for an official judge program to prepare individuals to help judge these high level competitive events and support the player base in an area that still continues to be lacking to this day.
With its first Challenge events now in the books, the pool of Disney Lorcana Challenge Worlds increases by two and the road to Worlds is heating up! Will we see a shift in the meta as players refine their strategies? Only time will tell as we look ahead to the next event!
Archazia's Island Reveals so far:

Ravensburger dropped another dual-ink on their socials, and this time it's for Amber/Emerald! Lady is our first reveal from the franchise Lady and the Tramp, a classic Disney property that will be sure to warm the hearts of fans young and old. Lady is an Amber/Emerald Floodborn character that looks to lean toward supporting a wider aggro strategy by recurring characters from discard back your hand. This could help you bounce back from a devastating board wipe and get back in the game. Thank you Ravensburger for sharing this with the community!

Another reveal from Ravensburger showcases Jafar, who is a familiar glimmer in the world of Lorcana. As his story develops leading into the next set, titled Reign of Jafar, I have a feeling that we're going to see a ton of synergies with not only this Jafar, but prior versions of him as well.

Amethyst/Sapphire, aka "Blurple", gets some love from the likes of Sven from Frozen. Competing with Elsa for the premier 5 cost slot might be tough, but at least you have options. Given the fact it does have a large amount of Willpower and can help reduce the Strength of opposing characters on play, it's likely to make some of the most favorable trades.
That's it for this week! Tune in this Friday for more spoilers for Archazia's Island, as we eagerly await its release date on March 7th at hobby shops, such as CoolStuff Games!
