Hello awesome OTJ fans! Wow do I have something fun for you today! Today I want to take a deep dive into the OTJ legendary dorks and give you my Tier ranking, enjoy! Please note that since OTJ Commander set legendaries are designed for the format, I am not evaluating them, just OTJ and Big Score.

S Tier

Let's begin with the best of the best! These five guys! Marchesa's crime into card flow is broken, and I built around her here (Grixis Interaction with Marchesa in Commander | Article by Abe Sargent (coolstuffinc.com)). Loot is broken good card advantage of the Impulse nature I also built around here (Looting with Permanents in Commander | Article by Abe Sargent (coolstuffinc.com)). Selvala turns critter casts into tokens, and then taps for great mana for your stuff. Gisa turns crimes into two tapped Zombie dorks, but just once a turn. Jasper is broken with turning outlaws into casting opposing stuff with any color of mana. Nice five set to start with!

A Tier

Now let's turn to my six picks for A Tier! Magna is great at making tapping Treasures and turning them into threats with crimes, but just once a turn. Obeka turns combat into extra upkeeps. Bonny Pall ETBs with a wincon equal to your land count and turns attacks into Explore. The Mount will turn riders into massive card drawing and ramp, but only if you sac them. Roxanne will make Meteorites on arrival or when they swing to shoot, and you can turn tapping mana into extra mana made. Tinybones will turn combat damage into casting one spell from their graveyard with any color of mana.

B Tier

We've got seven options here at B tier! Kellan will turn non-hand casts into permanents. Kaervek will turn crimes into free spells. Bristly Bill will turn landfall into counters, and mana sink to double them. Taii will turn burn into card draw, and will tap to burn too. The new version of Fblthp will plot the top card of your library which can be seen by you anytime. Ghired will give your nontokens dorks the ability to tap and make copies of what just entered! Eriette can control what was Auras'd of your foes! Love this so much I built around her here (Budget Commander #77: Controlling with Auras with Eriette! | Article by Abe Sargent (coolstuffinc.com))

C Tier

Ten at C Tier, about what you'd expect! Geralf turns casts into Zombie tokens, with more limits and is a lord for that common tribe too! Riku turns modal spells into more modes and is the first Modal Commander! Rakdos turns sacrifices into card flow impulsing. Saturu is a great Ninja leader with their ability to turn free non-cast ETB stuff into card draw. Kambal values opposing tokens by making them on your side tapped and then turns yours into a death trigger on your foes. Akul turns sacrifices of three things into a free dork from your hand like an Eldrazi Titan.

Annie Flash is my favorite and turns taping by riding into card flow, and is a Sun Titan in recursion. I built around her here: (Naya Mounts and Vees in Commander? Oh My! | Article by Abe Sargent (coolstuffinc.com)) Ertha is my favorite uncommon and double triggers that target foes! Lilah needs gold card spell casts to give it another go as plotted, Vraska animates an opposing dying as Treasure for a mana. Fun decades of winning!

D Tier

Nine are here at D Tier, including most of the uncommons! The Baron will turn tokens ETB into another, and then he's a sac engine to draw that card. Breeches turns the 2nd cast into sacrificing an artifact to a coin flip. Doc is mana ramp since he'll drop exile and graveyard costs by 2 each. Ditto Honest Rutstein for your dorks for one mana and then is a Gravedigger too. Jem draws if you didn't cast anything on your turn. Jolene turns big swings into tapped Treasures you can sac to ping. Kraum turns 2nd spell casts into cards drawn and a counter on him of the +1/+1 persuasion! Malcolm on the other hand turns them into Clues. Finally, Wylie Duke, who has vigilance when tapped to draw a card and gain that life too, but it's hard to tap her, hence her here.

F Tier

Our final seven are here! Bruse Tarl is the first Oxen lord and makes them too! But I don't think that's going to cut it. Our Red Mount Calamity makes a non-legendary token copy, but costs loads and that's limited. Our other Mount, Fortune, with an ETB to scry 2 can flicker both her and your rider. Lazav, once a turn, can turn crimes into copying temporary dead stuff, but that's pretty weak. Miriam is a great Vehicle/Mount leader by giving them hexproof on your turn. Vadamir turns crimes into pumps and more keywords but that once/turn brake is rough. Vial Smasher turns outlaw arrives into tings, but just one per opponent, so it's hard to scale in multiplayer.
